Russo, City Manager <br /> FROM: Bill Evans, Assistant City Manager <br /> DATE: 5/16/2013 <br /> RE: Ratifying an Agreement and Approving the First Addendum to <br /> Agreement with Cool Breeze Air Conditioning Corporation for <br /> Air Conditioning Services at the Government Center <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> We recommend the City Commission approve the attached Resolution. <br /> REASONS: <br /> The City was in immediate need of a new air conditioner compressor at the <br /> Sunny Isles Beach Government Center to decrease the load on the one working <br /> compressor and to stabilize the temperature throughout the building. <br /> Pursuant to Section 62-12 of the City's Procurement Code, the City Manager has <br /> determined that it is in the best interest of the City to waive its formal competitive <br /> bidding procedures due to the urgent nature of this matter. <br /> The City obtained three quotes and selected Cool-Breeze Air Conditioning Corp. <br /> who was qualified, willing and able to provide the desired services on the terms <br /> and conditions set forth herein. <br /> Cool-Breeze Air Conditioning Corp. submitted a proposal to the City to replace <br /> the McQuary Screw Compressor unit, in an amount not to exceed Thirty-Three <br /> Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars ($33,950.00). <br /> While replacing the compressor unit, Cool-Breeze Air Conditioning Corp. <br /> Agenda Item No 10G <br /> Date 5/16/2013 <br /> 101 <br />
