A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING MAYOR NORMAN
S. EDELCUP AS THE CITY'S DELEGATE TO THE MIAMI-DADE
LEAGUE OF CITIES AND VICE MAYOR ISAAC AELION AS THE
ALTERNATE TO ATTEND MEETINGS DURING FISCAL YEAR
2013/2014; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach wishes to provide for voting representation at
the Miami-Dade League of Cities throughout the coming year;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Appointment of Delegate and Alternate. The following members of the City
Commission are hereby appointed for one year as delegate and alternate to represent the City of
Sunny Isles Beach at the Miami-Dade League of Cities meetings:
A. Delegate: Mayor Norman S. Edelcup
B. Alternate: Vice Mayor Isaac Aelion
Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of September 2013.

MEMORANDUM

RE: Designation of Voting Member and Alternative Voting Member to
the Miami-Dade League of Cities
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution
designating Mayor Norman S. Edelcup to be a voting delegate to the Miami-
Dade League of Cities and Vice Mayor Isaac Aelion to be the alternate.
REASONS:
One City official and an alternate in his/her absence needs to be authorized to
vote on Miami-Dade League of Cities matters.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
During Fiscal Year 2012/2013 Mayor Edelcup served as the delegate and Vice
Mayor Aelion served as the alternate. The current one-year term expires on
September 30, 2013, and therefore the Commission should designate a delegate
and an alternate to the Miami-Dade League of Cities. Any elected official may
attend a League meeting at any time. The purpose of the above representative
and alternate is solely for voting authority.
