A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA,
ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE FOR CITY COMMISSION
MEETINGS FOR CALENDAR YEAR 201.4; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission for the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to establish
a schedule of City Commission meetings for calendar year 2014; and
WHEREAS, the third Tuesday of the month is reserved for City Commission
Workshops needed for review of the City Commission meeting agenda beginning at 10:00 a.m.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. Approval of 2014 Schedule of Commission Meetings. The schedule for City
Commission meetings for calendar year 2014 shall be as set forth herein, and the third Tuesday
of the month is reserved for City Commission Workshops beginning at 10:00 a.m.
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in January: January 16, 2014
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in February: February 20, 2014
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in March: March 20, 2014
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in April: April 17, 2014
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in May: May 15, 2014
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in June: June 19, 2014
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in July: July 17, 2014
No Meetings in August
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in September: September 18, 2014
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in October: October 16, 2014
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in November: November 20, 2014
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in December: December 18, 2014
Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.

RE: Establishing a Schedule for City Commission Meetings for
Calendar Year 2013
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution
establishing a schedule for City Commission meetings for calendar year 2014.
REASONS:
The City Commission desires to establish a regular schedule of City Commission
meetings for calendar year 2014. Consistent with the requirements of City Code
Section 74-6, all of the monthly meetings have been scheduled for the third
Thursday of each month beginning at 6:30 p.m. In addition, the third Tuesday of
the month is reserved for City Commission Workshops beginning at 10:00 a.m.
to review that month's agenda.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The City Manager is recommending no regular Commission meeting in August
as that is when several Budget Workshops are scheduled.
