RE: Donation of Surplus Computer Equipment
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission approve this Resolution authorizing
the City Manager to donate the surplus computer equipment described below to
the Miami-Dade County Public Schools, South Florida Digital Alliance, and Sant
La Haitian Neighborhood Center.
REASONS:
The City is in possession of a significant amount of surplus computers and
computer monitors. These are older systems that have been decommissioned

City.
The Miami-Dade County Public Schools have reviewed the complete list of
equipment below, and could utilize the DELL Optiplex 755 computers.
The Sant La Haitian Neighborhood Center's mission is to empower, strengthen,
and stabilize South Florida's Haitian community through access for free services
• and resources, to ensure its successful integration. Five DELL D630 laptops will
be donated to this organization.
The South Florida Digital Alliance was incorporated as a non-profit entity in May
of 2009 under the name of the Miami-Dade Broadband Coalition. The
