CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH - GATEWAY PARK CENTER
AUDIO VISUAL OVERVIEW AND SCOPE OF WORK
Project address: 151 Sunny Isles Blvd., Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160
This project is a new construction at the existing building structure. The intent is to provide
turnkey, intuitive state of the art audio visual experience, blended in with modern architectural details
and design. These are the areas that shall receive AV technology and integrations:

General notes and requirements
1. 3 -year onsite warranty shall apply to all AV systems. This includes all equipment, unlimited
service calls, equipment repairs or replacements and technical support.
2. 5 -year repair or replacement warranty shall apply to all Crestron equipment.
3. 24-hour onsite response time shall be required for all service calls for the duration of 3 years.
Service calls logged on Fridays or before Holidays, shall be responded the next working business
day.
4. Fully staffed local office shall be located within 75 miles of project location.
5. No equipment brands or models' substitutes shall be allowed. Systems shall be priced as per
provided Bill of Materials for each room. AV vendor shall provide pricing for each line item.
6. Due to the complexity of Crestron and QSC systems, level 3 Crestron programmer and QSC
certification shall be required. Successful AV vendor shall have level 3 Crestron programmer,
DMC -E -4K and QSC QSYS certified engineer on staff full time and subcontractors shall not be
allowed.
7. AV integrator shall provide at least three (3) references of similar size and complexity projects
completed within past 5 years. Assigned project managers must have earned certifications
based on Project Management Institute (PMI) standards.

8. Upon project completion, successful AV vendor shall provide project folder that shall contain as -
built drawings, AV racks equipment elevation, wire and cables labeling legend, all equipment
owner's manuals, written warranty statement, unlocked audio DSP files, uncompiled and
unlocked Crestron source code and service help desk information. Project folder shall be in
electronic format. City of Sunny Isles Beach shall not sign the project off unless the project
folder is provided to the City.
9. All unused remote controls, cables, batteries, and any other original accessories that usually ship
with the AV equipment, shall be turned over to the City.
10. Crestron Fusion RoomView modules and x -panel access shall be provided in all areas controlled
via Crestron control systems.
11. All wires shall be plenum rated. All wires and cables shall be properly labeled with printed labels
and clear heat -shrink over them.
12. AV racks shall be properly grounded in accordance to the NEC specifications.
13. All required electrical high voltage power outlets and circuits shall be provided by GC/EC.
14. All required conduit, junction boxes, pull boxes, fittings, etc., shall be provided by GC/EC.
15. All required LAN drops and Cable TV feeds at each location shall be provided by the City of
Sunny Isles Beach or others.
16. All required interfaces for lighting control via Crestron system shall be provided by the GC/EC.
17. Floor boxes as well in -wall enclosures shall be provided by the AV vendor and installed by the
GC/EC as per architect's specifications. Notes posted in each BOM shall be respected.
18. Successful AV integrator shall assist City IT staff with setup of all wireless presentation gateways
and all other AV equipment that is connected to LAN. All equipment MAC addresses shall be
provided to the City's IT staff prior the installation taking place.
19. AV integrator shall supply list of the AV equipment by room, that shall contain the brand, model
number and serial number for each unit.
20. It was AV designer's intent to provide a complete turnkey system design for all of the areas.
However, it shall be AV integrator's responsibility to provide working system in the event that
anything was accidentally omitted. Special attention shall be given to the equipment part
numbers, quantities and notes provided in the Bill of Materials. Adding numbers accurately shall
be solely responsibility of the AV integration bidder.
21. Loading dock is NOT available and AV equipment deliveries shall be considered accordingly.
22. All AV integrator staff must comply with the construction site rules and regulations set by GC.
This includes wearing Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) whenever required.
23. Jobsite shall be kept clean and debris free daily. All boxes and packing materials shall be
removed each day by the AV contractor. Onsite garbage and bulk containers shall not be used
for boxes and/or packing materials disposal related to AV integration.
24. AV contractor shall provide project manager who will generate daily progress report to the City
of Sunny Isles Beach staff during the project integration.
25. Parking for fee is available onsite. No exclusions shall be allowed. All vehicles shall be properly
parked during the AV integration. Curbside parking shall not be allowed.
26. Winning AV vendor shall provide 8 hours of training (2 sessions, 4 hours each) to the City of
Sunny Isles Beach staff.
27. Storing of tools, ladders, lifts, AV materials and AV equipment shall not be allowed onsite.
Facility does not have secured area for storage.

28. Any deliveries of large AV equipment shall be coordinated with the GC prior.
29. Low voltage permits shall be required. AV integrator shall provide its own low voltage permit
with City of Sunny Isles Beach. Permit fees shall be included in AV integrator bid response.
30. Ground freight charges and inside deliveries fees shall be included in the AV integrator bid
response.
Reception 100
31. Reception area shall feature 2 of the 55" UHD displays in landscape orientation butted against
each other and mounted on the wall as per architect's specifications and elevation. Behind each
display, there shall be an in -wall enclosure that shall house AC power receptacle, AC power strip
and 2 LAN connections.
32. City of Sunny Isles Beach shall provide a small form factor PC or digital signage player that shall
be placed inside one of the in -wall enclosures. This device shall be controlled remotely via LAN
and it shall have dual HDMI output, feeding the video signal to both displays.
33. Digital signage content shall be provided and managed by the City staff. Both displays shall enter
standby mode once the PC is shut down remotely. There shall be no external control of the
displays; supplied remote controls only.
34. This is a video -only application and no audio shall be required.
35. AV vendor shall setup and adjust the image of both displays to their best viewing performance.
36. Floor box shall be turned over to the GC for installation under the reception desk (AC power and
data ports only) and it shall contain no AV connectivity.
37. There shall be no cable TV service at this location.
Breakroom 103
38. Breakroom shall feature single 49" UHD display in landscape orientation, mounted on the wall
as per architect's specifications and elevation. Behind the display, there shall be an in -wall
enclosure with AC power outlet, AC power strip, 1 LAN connection (future use) and F -type
connection for cable TV service.
39. City of Sunny Isles Beach shall provide a small form factor set top cable TV converter with HDMI
output that shall be placed inside the in -wall enclosure and controlled with its supplied infrared
remote control via infrared extender installed by the AV vendor.
40. AV vendor shall "learn" IR codes of the display onto the cable TV box remote control.
41. TV box remote control shall be used for all functions including volume up/down/mute and
power on/off of the display, and it shall be tethered via aircraft cable retractor to the back side
of the display to prevent loss of the remote control.

Conference Room 104
42. Conference Room shall feature single 65" UHD display in landscape orientation, mounted on the
wall as per architect's specifications and elevation. Behind the display, there shall be an in -wall
enclosure with AC power outlet, AC power strip and 2 LAN connections.
43. Logitech MeetUp VTC camera soundbar shall be suspended at the bottom of the display via its
VESA mounting points. Power for the MeetUp shall come from the in -wall enclosure behind the
display. USB connections shall be extended to the conference table via Crestron HDMI/USB
extender. Supplied remote control shall be used for the MeetUp control.
44. Wireless presentation gateway shall be placed inside the in -wall enclosure and connected to the
LAN and HDMI input of the display.
45. HDMI signal from the conference table cable shall be extended via Crestron HDMI/USB
extender.
46. Conference table shall be supplied by the City and shall feature independent retractable HDMI
and USB cables, mounted under the table surface and close to the edge.
47. Each side of the conference table shall receive underneath a power bank unit with dual AC
power and dual USB receptacles for convenience. All cables and wires underneath the
conference table surface shall be dressed in neat fashion and out of sight.
48. Floor box shall be provided by the AV vendor and installed by GC/EC as per architect's
specifications and orientation. Floor box shall feature AC power receptacle and 2 LAN
connections (future use).
49. All AV wires shall be a passthrough type and shall not be terminated at the floor box.
50. There shall be no cable TV service at this room.
Meeting Room 105
51. Meeting Room shall feature single 55" UHD display in landscape orientation, mounted on the
wall as per architect's specifications and elevation. Behind the display, there shall be an in -wall
enclosure with AC power outlet, AC power strip and 2 LAN connections.

57. Floor box shall be provided by the AV vendor and installed by GC/EC as per architect's
specifications and orientation. Floor box shall feature AC power receptacle and 2 LAN
connections (future use).
58. All AV wires shall be a passthrough type and shall not be terminated at the floor box.
59. There shall be no cable TV service at this room.
Telephone Room 106
60. Telephone Room shall feature 27" all -in -one desktop computer with wireless keyboard and
mouse and furnished by the City of Sunny Isles Beach, mounted on the wall as per architect's
specifications and elevation. Behind the display, there shall be an in -wall enclosure with AC
power outlet and 1 LAN connection. There shall be no cable TV service in this room.
Fitness Center 108
61. Fitness Center shall feature 9000 Lumens native WUXGA laser projector installed inside the
ceiling lift, 130" diagonal recessed tensioned 16:10 ratio electric screen, 10 ceiling mounted
speakers, 10" wall mounted Crestron control touch screen and multimedia podium with
gooseneck microphone. It shall also feature T -coil hearing loop system for hearing impaired with
the coil installed at the ceiling area as well as wireless microphones and Bluetooth connectivity.
62. Projector and its lift shall be controlled via Creston control system. Projector's lift shall have 2
preset positions (projection mode and service mode). Projection mode shall keep the projector
as high as possible and close to the ceiling. Service mode shall allow service of the projector at 3'
AFF. Lift and projector along required hardware shall be white.
63. All AV equipment required for the audio-visual functionality shall be located at the AV racks
inside the AV closet.
64. Projector lift operation override switch shall be located at the AV rack inside the AV closet.
65. Projector lift ceiling access panel shall be provided by AV integrator and installed by GC with
architect's approval. This panel shall allow projector lift service, as needed.
66. AV vendor must secure projection lift and electric screen to the upper deck and in accordance to
the industry safety standards.
67. GC/EC shall provide independent 20 Amp circuit for each item (projector, lift and screen).
68. Projection screen shall not have wall switch installed (Crestron control via touch screen only).
69. Vacancy sensor shall be installed at the ceiling area and it shall allow for the AV system to
shutoff automatically 15 minutes upon room vacancy (exact time shall be coordinated with the
City).
70. Bluetooth sensor shall be installed at the ceiling area by the projector lift. It shall allow for audio
Bluetooth connections with compatible devices. Its paring mode shall be controlled via Crestron
control touch screen.
71. 10" Crestron touch screen shall be wall mounted over 2 -gang J -box provided by GC/EC, at 60"
AFF. Its discrete bezel buttons shall be programmed accordingly. Proximity sensor used for

screen wake up shall be enabled. Touch screen shall require POE+ LAN connection provided by
AV vendor via POE+ injector.
72. Ceiling speakers shall be mounted in accordance to the architectural detail. They shall be divided
into two 70V zones (5 speakers in each zone). Zone attenuation shall be possible independently
and audio volume control shall be done via Crestron control touch screen. Speakers shall be
tapped at their highest 70V wattage rating. During the construction phase, speakers' mud -rings
shall be provided by the AV vendor and installed by GC.
73. There shall be 1 gooseneck and 3 wireless microphone systems used in this room. 2 of the
wireless mic systems shall be lavalier type with ability to change the mic element to the
headband on both and 1 mic system shall be handheld type. All microphones shall have
independent volume control via the Crestron control touch screen, coupled with digital
feedback suppressor. Wireless microphone receivers shall reside inside the AV rack, but the
antennas shall be extended to the ceiling area via antenna distribution system.
74. When not in use, all wireless microphone elements shall be stored away inside the drawer with
customizable foam located at the AV rack. Elements shall be clearly labeled based on the room
they belong to.
75. AV vendor shall provide floor box that shall be installed by the GC/EC as per architect's
specifications and layout. Floor box shall feature AC power receptacle, mic XLR input for podium
gooseneck mic, HDMI for podium HDMI auto switcher and 2 LAN connections.
76. Floor box connections shall be ready to use regardless of the podium being attached to it or not.
77. Multimedia podium shall be custom built and shall be similar to shape and size of the Coalesse
Exponents Lectern but must adopt the AV technology, as specified. Millwork shop drawings shall
be required for City's approval prior manufacturing of the podium. Podium shall feature cable
management, recessed locking wheels, lockable equipment compartment, large laptop slanted
top surface, Crestron cable cubby and 24" gooseneck microphone with shock mount. Finish of
the podium shall be coordinated with the architect.
78. Crestron cable cubby shall be flush mounted at the top of the podium and shall feature
convenience AC power outlet, USB -A and USB -C charging ports, HDMI gravity cable retractor,
USB -C gravity cable retractor and RJ45 network gravity cable retractor. HDMI and USB -C
retractable cables shall be used for laptop connectivity and the signal shall be routed
automatically via included 4 -port HDMI auto switcher located inside the podium. User shall not
be required to select the type of the cable being connected to their laptop.
79. Crestron control touch screen shall feature the following AV sources: Podium cubby, Wireless
presentation and Cable TV. Audio -only sources shall be independently mixed in over any of the
selected AV sources and they shall be: Bluetooth streaming, Gooseneck microphone, Wireless
Handheld Microphone, Wireless Lavaliere Microphone 1 and Wireless Lavaliere Microphone 2.
80. Wireless presentation (Crestron AirMedia) shall also be possible via any device connected to the
local Wi-Fi network. AV vendor shall assist City IT staff with LAN setup of this device.
81. Crestron control touch screen shall also recall presets of the Lutron lighting control system,
provided and programmed by the lighting contractor. Lutron system interface location shall be
determined at later point.
82. AV vendor shall calibrate and commission T -coil hearing loop system as per industry's best
practices. Calibration tool shall be turned over to the City of Sunny Isles Beach for safekeeping.

83. Evoko Liso room scheduling touch screen shall be installed on the wall by the main entrance at
60" AFF or as per architect's drawings and guidance. AV vendor shall assist City IT staff with
room scheduling system setup and integration with mail server.
84. Fitness Room shall be standalone type and shall not be connected to the other AV systems.
Large Classroom 109
85. Large classroom shall be equipped with the 98" UHD display, 10 ceiling mounted speakers, 10"
wall mounted Crestron control touch screen and multimedia podium with gooseneck
microphone.
86. All AV equipment required for the audio-visual functionality shall be located at the AV racks
inside the AV closet.
87. 98" UHD display shall be mounted recessed in the wall as per architectural drawings. GC shall
provide the adequate structural support for it.
88. AV vendor shall supply in -wall enclosure that shall be installed behind the 98" UHD display by
the GC/EC. Enclosure shall provide AC power outlet, 2 LAN connections and mounting place for
Crestron scaler and display controller.
89. Vacancy sensor shall be installed at the ceiling tile area and it shall allow for the AV system to
shutoff automatically 15 minutes upon room vacancy (exact time shall be coordinated with the
City).
90. Bluetooth sensor shall be installed at the ceiling tile area and it shall allow for audio Bluetooth
connections with compatible devices. Its paring mode shall be controlled via Crestron control
touch screen.

lavaliere. Each microphone shall have independent volume control via the Crestron control
touch screen, coupled with digital feedback suppressor. Wireless microphone receivers shall
reside inside the AV rack, but the antennas shall be extended to the ceiling area via antenna
distribution system.

Classroom 111 /Catering Kitchen 112/Banquet Hall 117/AV closet 119/North East Covered Patio
104. Cooking classroom, kitchen and banquet hall systems are all connected and utilize the
same audio-visual platform. Any audiovisual source regardless of its location, shall be routable
to any or all projectors and displays. This feature shall allow for a true two-way AV overflow
between all areas. Master signal routing shall be only be available at the AV racks via Crestron
10" control touch screen or 9.7" iPad located inside the AV closet 119. All other Crestron control
touch screens shall only have control of their respective areas.
105. All audio-visual equipment for the above areas shall be centralized and located at the
AV racks inside the AV closet.

Cooking Classroom 111
106. AV integrator shall install two of the 65" UHD displays inside the Cooking Classroom.
Displays shall be mounted onto the articulating arms with the ability to be extended away from
the wall up to 45 degrees.
107. Displays mounting elevations shall be coordinated with the architect and GC. Both
displays shall have recessed wall cavities built around them to provide a flush appearance. GC
shall provide an adequate wall backing to support the displays while extended away from the
wall.
108. Both displays shall also have in -wall enclosures behind them as per the Bill of Materials,
that shall be supplied by the AV integrator and installed by the GC/EC. Each in -wall enclosure
shall feature electrical outlet and space for Crestron scaler / display controller. In -wall
enclosures behind the 65" displays shall be black in color and shall have covers installed on them
to preserve clean look and hide the inside content while the mounting arms are extended.
109. 65" UHD displays shall be used for the presentation to the classroom attendees to
provide better view of the food preparation counter (left display) and cooking stove (right
display) that are located inside the Catering Kitchen. Displays shall also be used for wireless or
wired presentation via laptop or any other AV devices connected to the HDMI wall access plates.
110. Crestron HDMI wall access plate shall be installed by the AV integrator near the counter
window. Exact location shall be coordinated with GC and architect.
111. Wireless presentation (Crestron AirMedia) shall also be possible via any device
connected to the local Wi-Fi network. AV vendor shall assist City IT staff with LAN setup of this
device.
112. Crestron 7" control touch screen shall be installed near the counter window. Exact
location shall be coordinated with GC and architect. Required POE LAN connection shall be
provided by GC or others.
113. Crestron 7" control touch screen shall allow for routing of the following audiovisual
sources: Cable TV, Cooking Classroom HDMI wall plate, Crestron AirMedia wireless presentation,
Chef's HDMI wall plate (located inside the Catering Kitchen) and 2 PTZ camera feeds via presets
only (also located inside the Catering Kitchen). It shall also allow independent control of the
Chef's microphone and program audio in the room.
114. AV integrator shall install 6 flush mounted ceiling speakers in accordance to the
architectural detail. Speakers shall be tapped at their highest 70V wattage rating. During the
construction phase, speakers' mud -rings shall be provided by the AV vendor and installed by GC.
115. Vacancy sensor shall be installed at the ceiling tile area and it shall allow for the AV
system to shutoff automatically 15 minutes upon room vacancy (exact time shall be coordinated
with the City).

Catering Kitchen 112
117. Inside the Catering Kitchen there shall be 2 cooking "islands" (cooking stove and food
preparation) and each area shall receive a dedicated UHD PTZ camera suspended from the
ceiling. Each camera shall be controlled via 7" Crestron control touch screen located on the wall
by the chef. Via Crestron system programming, AV integrator shall provide full pan, tilt and
zoom functionality as well as quick access camera presets via Crestron control touch screen for
each camera. Each camera feed shall be routable to either or all 3 displays via local Crestron
control touch screen. Furthermore, each camera feed shall also be routable to the Banquet Hall
projectors along with either laptop connections (wireless or wired) but only from the Crestron
control touch screen located at the AV racks, and operated by the authorized AV staff.
118. At the wall closest to the Chef's cooking stove, AV integrator shall install 49" UHD
display that shall be used as Chef's confidence monitor and for previewing either camera feed.
Behind the 49" display, GC shall install an in -wall enclosure provided by the AV integrator and as
per architect's drawings and guidance, that shall house Crestron scaler / display controller and
AC power outlet.
119. Crestron 7" control touch screen shall be installed near the Chefs confidence monitor.
Exact location shall be coordinated with GC and architect. Required POE LAN connection shall be
provided by GC or others. Its discrete bezel buttons shall be programmed accordingly. Proximity
sensor used for screen wake up shall be enabled. Touch screen shall require POE+ LAN
connection provided by AV vendor via POE+ injector.
120. Crestron 7" control touch screen shall allow for routing of the following audiovisual
sources: Cable TV, Crestron AirMedia wireless presentation, Chefs HDMI wall plate and 2 PTZ
camera feeds via presets only (also located inside the Catering Kitchen). It shall also allow
independent control of the Chef's microphone and program audio in the Cooking Classroom.
121. There shall be no speakers installed anywhere inside the Catering Kitchen area.
122. Chefs area shall also feature HDMI wall access plate that shall allow laptop connectivity
and ability to present on its confidence monitor as well both displays located inside the Cooking
Classroom (display selection shall be done via Crestron control touch screen).
123. Even though these 2 areas are connected via AV common equipment, the system shall
allow for completely independent operation of each area.
124. Wireless presentation (Crestron AirMedia) shall also be possible via any device
connected to the local W1-Fi network. AV vendor shall assist City IT staff with LAN setup of this
device.
125. Vacancy sensor shall be installed at the ceiling tile area and it shall allow for the AV
system to shutoff automatically 15 minutes upon room vacancy (exact time shall be coordinated
with the City).
126. Single wireless lavaliere microphone shall be available for the Chef's convenience and its
antennas shall be extended to the ceiling area above the acoustical ceiling tiles. In addition to
the lavaliere mic element, headband type mic shall also be provided. When not in use, all
wireless microphone elements shall be stored away inside the drawer with customizable foam
located at the AV rack. Elements shall be clearly labeled based on the room they belong to.
127. Chefs microphone shall be routable to the Cooking Classroom audience via Crestron
control touch screens inside the Cooking Classroom as well as Catering Kitchen. However,

patching Chefs microphone feed into the Banquet Hall area shall only be possible by authorized
personnel via Crestron control touch screen located at the AV racks.
Banquet Hall 117
128. All audio-visual equipment used for the Banquet Hall shall be located inside the AV
racks.
129. Banquet Hall shall feature three 9000 Lumens native WUXGA laser projectors that shall
be placed inside the respective ceiling lifts. In addition, there shall also be three 130" diagonal
recessed behind the ceiling beam tensioned 16:10 ratio electric screens, 30 ceiling mounted
speakers, 2 ceiling mounted subwoofers, 10" wall mounted Crestron control touch screen and
multimedia podium with gooseneck microphone and 7" Crestron control touch screen
permanently attached at the top surface. Space shall also feature T -coil hearing loop system for
hearing impaired with the coil installed under the carpet as well as multiple wireless
microphones and streaming audio Bluetooth connectivity.
130. Each projector and each ceiling lift shall have its own dedicated 20 Amp power circuit
provided by GC/EC as per architect's specifications. Lifts and projectors along with required
hardware shall be black.
131. Banquet Hall shall require plenum enclosures for all 3 projector lifts as well as 2 large
ceiling mounted subwoofers that shall be provided and installed by the AV vendor. Plenum
enclosures must be securely attached to the upper deck in accordance to the industry best
practices and local building codes. Subwoofers shall be placed near the 2 end projector lifts
ceiling access panels to allow for ease of future servicing.
132. Projectors and its lifts shall be controlled via Creston control system. Projector lifts shall
have 2 preset positions (projection mode and service mode). Projection mode shall keep the
projector as high as possible and close to the ceiling. Service mode shall allow service of the
projector at 3' AFF.
133. 3 projector lifts operation override switches shall be located at the AV rack inside the AV
closet.
134. Projector lifts ceiling access panels for each projector shall be provided and installed by
GC in accordance with architect's drawings and approval. Each panel shall measure not less than
2'x 2' and shall allow projector lift service, as needed.
135. AV vendor must secure projection lifts and electric screens to the upper deck in
accordance to the industry safety standards.
136. Projection screens shall not have respective wall switches installed (controlled via touch
screens or iPad only).
137. 2 vacancy sensors shall be installed at the ceiling area near the end projector lifts access
panels and they shall allow for the AV system to shutoff automatically 15 minutes upon room
vacancy (exact time shall be coordinated with the City). Both sensors shall be painted in black by
the AV integrator to match other ceiling decor.
138. Bluetooth sensor shall be installed at the ceiling area by the middle projector lift ceiling
access panel and it shall be black. It shall allow for audio Bluetooth connections with compatible
devices. Its paring mode shall be controlled via Crestron control touch screens or iPad.

139. Wireless microphones antennas shall be extended to the ceiling area of the Banquet
Hall in order to provide an adequate wireless microphones coverage. Antennas shall be
accessible via end projection lifts ceiling access panels.
140. 30 ceiling 70V speakers shall be mounted in accordance to the architectural detail and
they shall feature black finish. Speakers shall be mounted in line with light fixtures as per
architectural drawings. Each of 5 rows housing the light fixtures shall also accommodate 6
ceiling mounted speakers. They shall be divided into two zones (18 speakers in the rear zone
and 12 speakers in the front zone). Zones attenuation shall be possible independently and audio
volume control shall be done via either one of 2 Crestron control touch screens as well as iPad.
Speakers shall be tapped at their highest 70V wattage rating. During the construction phase,
speakers' trim rings shall be provided and installed by the AV integrator. Each speaker shall be
secured to the upper deck by AV vendor.
141. West wall of the Banquet Hall shall feature UHD PTZ camera wall mounted at 96" AFF
over the 2 -gang box provided by GC/EC. Camera shall allow for IP streaming as well as any web -
based video conferencing via podium connected laptop computers (i.e. Skype for Business,
WebEx, GoToMeeting, etc.). Camera shall be controlled via either Crestron control touch screen
or iPad and it shall feature several presets as well as full pan, tilt and zoom commands.
142. Floor area of the Banquet Hall shall have two large AV floor boxes provided by AV
integrator and installed by GC/EC. Each floor box shall have its own unique set of AV
connections.
143. Floor box under the presentation podium near the East side shall contain AC power
receptacle, 1 Decora style white single microphone input plate for the podium gooseneck
microphone, 3 Decora style white dual microphone inputs plates for the future discussion panel
meetings, 3 POE LAN connections, HDMI white input plate for podium AV sources and USB
extension plate for the video conferencing AV bridge located at the AV racks.
144. Floor box at the DJ area near the North wall shall contain AC power receptacle, 1 Decora
style white single microphone input plate for the optional DJ gooseneck microphone, 1 Decora
style black audio line level record output plate, 3 POE LAN connections, HDMI white input plate
for AV sources, HDMI black output plate for optional DJ display connection and 1 Decora style
3G HD SDI input white plate for auxiliary camera connectivity.
145. AVlintegrator shall install
146. 10" Crestron touch screen shall be wall mounted over 2 -gang J -box provided by GC/EC,
at 60" AFF on the North wall and near the large DJ floor box. Its discrete bezel buttons shall be
programmed accordingly. Proximity sensor used for screen wake up shall be enabled. Touch
screen shall require POE+ LAN connection provided by AV vendor via POE+ injector.
147. There shall be 1 gooseneck and 4 wireless microphone systems used in this room. 2 of
the mic systems shall be lavalier type and other 2 mic systems shall be handheld type. All
microphones shall have independent volume control via the Crestron control touch screens or
iPad.
148. When not in use, all wireless microphone elements shall be stored away inside the
drawer with customizable foam located at the AV rack. Elements shall be clearly labeled based
on the room they belong to.
149. T -coil hearing loop system for hearing impaired with the flat wire coils placed under the
carpet, shall be installed by the AV integrator who shall also calibrate and commission this

system as per industry's best practices. Calibration tool shall be turned over to the City of Sunny
Isles Beach for safekeeping.
150. Evoko Liso room scheduling touch screen shall be installed on the wall by the main
entrance at 60" AFF or as per architect's drawings and guidance. AV vendor shall assist City IT
staff with room scheduling system setup and integration with mail server.
151. Multimedia podium shall be custom built and shall be similar to shape and size of the
Coalesse Exponents Lectern but must adopt the AV technology, as specified. Millwork shop
drawings shall be required for City's approval prior manufacturing of the podium. Podium shall
feature, cable management, recessed locking wheels, lockable equipment compartment, large
laptop slanted top surface, Crestron cable cubby, Crestron 7" control touch screen and 24"
gooseneck microphone with shock mount. Finish of the podium shall be coordinated with the
architect. Multimedia podium shall be pluggable in either floor box inside the Banquet Hall.
152. Crestron cable cubby shall be flush mounted at the top of the podium and shall feature
convenience AC power outlet, USB -A and USB -C charging ports, HDMI gravity cable retractor,
USB -C gravity cable retractor, USB gravity cable retractor and RJ45 network gravity cable
retractor. HDMI and USB -C retractable cables shall be used for laptop connectivity and the signal
shall be routed automatically via included 4 -port HDMI auto switcher located inside the podium.
User shall not be required to select the type of the cable being connected to their laptop. USB
gravity cable retractor shall be used to allow web -based video conferencing via connected
laptop computer (i.e. Skype for Business, WebEx, GoToMeeting, etc.). USB connection shall have
audio (all microphones) and video (UHD PTZ camera) signals combined.
153. Crestron 7" control touch screen permanently attached to the podium top surface next
to the cable cubby, shall feature the following AV sources: Podium cubby, Wireless presentation
and Cable TV. Audio -only sources shall be independently mixed in over any of the selected AV
sources and they shall be: Bluetooth streaming, Podium gooseneck microphone, 2 wireless
handheld microphones and 2 wireless lavaliere microphones.
154. Volume control of 6 microphone XLR ports located inside the floor box under the
podium shall be done only at the DJ touch screen or iPad.
155. All required interfaces for lighting control via Crestron system shall be provided by the
GC/EC. All Crestron control touch screens and iPad shall also recall presets of the Lutron lighting
control system, provided and programmed by the lighting contractor. Lutron system interface
location shall be determined at later point.
156. City of Sunny Isles Beach shall provide Crestron control iPad app along with 9.7" Apple
iPad in black finish, that shall be placed into the wireless charging sleeve provided by AV
integrator. Charging dock shall be mounted inside the AV rack next to the Crestron 10" control
touch screen. City of Sunny Isles Beach shall provide wireless access points inside the Banquet
Hall to allow iPad Crestron control.

157. Secured AV closet shall contain 2 floor standing racks with audio-visual equipment for
Fitness Center 108, Large Classroom 109, Cooking Classroom 111, Catering Kitchen 112 and
Banquet Hall 117. Fitness Center and Large Classroom systems shall each be standalone type.
Cooking Classroom, Catering Kitchen and Banquet Hall systems shall be interconnected. Racks
shall be ganged together and equipped with wheels to allow for ease of servicing in the future.
All cables going to and from of the racks except for power surge supply cords shall be bundled
and dressed together and placed inside the Techflex tubing with a minimum of 8' cable service
loop.
158. Prior racks assembly, AV integrator shall provide proposed rack elevations to the City in
writing for approval. City reserves right to make changes and influence the final elevations of
the rack equipment.
159. AV racks shall also contain 32 -port managed POE LAN switch provided by the City of
Sunny Isles Beach to allow for required audio-visual networking connections. Network switch
shall be installed and wired by the AV integrator, but its LAN setup shall be done by the City's IT
staff.
North-East Covered Patio
160. AV integrator shall install 6 white wall mounted outdoor speakers in total (4 evenly
spread across the Banquet Hall East side above the glass windows and 2 in the corners above
the North entrance glass doors).
161. All speakers shall be tapped to their highest 70V wattage.
162. All speakers shall feature security hardware installed.
163. Speakers shall be powered by the 70V power amplifier (shared with 2 subwoofers)
located inside the AV closet 119.
164. This audio zone shall be independently controlled via Crestron control touch screen at
the AV rack or iPad.
165. Any AV source including all microphones shall be routable to the covered patio zone.
166. All necessary conduit for the outdoor speakers shall be provided by the GC/EC.
