A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
RESOLUTION NOS. 15-Z-150, 2016-2626, AND 2018-2777 TO
EXTEND THE TIME PERIOD TO OBTAIN A BUILDING
PERMIT BY TDR TOWERS MASTER ASSOCIATION, INC.
(THE "APPLICANT") FOR THE PROJECT ENTITLED "TRUMP
TOWERS I, II & III PARKING EXTENSION" LOCATED AT
15811, 15901, AND 16001 COLLINS AVENUE, IN ACCORDANCE
WITH SECTION 265-11 (L) OF THE CITY CODE;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS
NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on November 17th, 2016 via Resolution No. 2016-2626 the City
Commission approved a time extension request from the Applicant and extended the time period
to obtain a building permit to February 19th, 2017; and
WHEREAS, on January 18th, 2018 via Resolution No. 2018-2777 the City Commission
approved a second time extension request from the Applicant and extended the time period to
obtain a building permit to February 19th, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the Applicant has submitted a third extension request to extend the time to
obtain a building permit in accordance with Resolution No. 15-Z-150, adopted on February 19th,
2015; and
WHEREAS,the Applicant has provided good cause for a third extension request; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to approve the request for a third extension
and extends the time to obtain a building permit under Resolution No. 15-Z-150 to February 19th,
2020.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Third Extension Request. Pursuant to Section 265-11(L) of the City
Code, the City Commission hereby approves the third request for extension submitted by the
Applicant, TDR Towers Master Association, Inc. and extends the time to pull a building permit
under Resolution No. 15-Z-150 to February 19th, 2020.
Section 2. Authority of the City Manager. The City Commission hereby provides the City
Manager with the authority to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
