CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS The meeting was called to order by Mayor Scholl at 6:30 p.m. with the following officials present: Mayor George "Bud" Scholl City Manager Christopher J. ' PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE /INVOCATION Action: Sunny Isles Beach resident Roberto Rodriguez gave the pledge of Allegiance and Monsignor Gregory gave the invocation. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 3A. Revised: Regular City Commission Meeting—February 21, 2018. Action: Commissioner Goldman moved, and Vice Mayor Svechin seconded a motion to approve the above-mentioned Summary Minutes. The motion was approved by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. 4. ORDER OF BUSINESS (Additions/Deletions/Amendments) Add On: Item 5A. Certificate of Appreciation Presented to Theresa Walton;Add On: Item 10H. Resolution Opposing Florida House Bill 3 and Senate Bill 1748; Revised: Item 12A. Discussion regarding City Advisory Committee. Action: Vice Mayor Svechin moved, and Commissioner Goldman seconded a motion to approve the above-mentioned changes to the agenda. The motion was approved by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. 5. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS 5A. Add-On: Certificate of Appreciation Presented to Theresa Walton. Action: Vice Mayor Svechin presented Theresa Walton with a Certification of Appreciation on behalf of the City Commission. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida,Expressing Support for Florida Senate Bill 610 and Florida House Bill 1259 Which Would Revise and Strengthen g Criminal Penalties Relating to Violations for Condominium Associations; Urging the Florida Legislature and Governor Ron DeSantis to Support and Approve the Legislation; Directing the City Clerk to Distribute Copies of this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. DISCUSSION ITEMS 12A. Revised: Status of City Advisory Committee. A discussion was held regarding the future of the City's Advisory Committee("CAC") led by Commissioner Goldman. Commissioner Goldman presented a report to the City Commission giving her recommendations on the focus areas and tasks to be undertaken by the CAC. She requested to be the City Advisory Committee's Liaison to the City Commission. 13. CITIZENS' FORUM: REQUESTS, PETITIONS & OTHER COMMUNICATIONS 14.
