A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA,
REAPPOINTING RAFAEL E. SUAREZ-RIVAS AS SPECIAL
MAGISTRATE FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 14-3 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Section 14-3 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Sunny Isles Beach
provides that appointments of Special Magistrates shall be made by the City Manager,as needed,on
the basis of experience for a term of one year; and
WHEREAS, said Section 14-3 of the City Code provides that appointments shall be
submitted to the City Commission for ratification; and
WHEREAS,Rafael E. Suarez-Rivas was re-appointed last year as Special Magistrate; and
WHEREAS,the City being satisfied with his excellent work,wishes to ratify the appointment
of Rafael E. Suarez-Rivas as Special Magistrate for the City of Sunny Isles Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Reappointment of Special Magistrate. The City Commission hereby ratifies the City
Manager's reappointment of Rafael E. Suarez-Rivas as Special Magistrate for a period of one year,
in accordance with Section 14-3 of the City Code.
Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon passage.
