Q2. Who is the current janitorial service provider?

Q4. What is the annual budget for the services outlined in the RFP?
A4. Pelican Community Park - $100,000
City Hall & Public Works Trailer - $161,000
Q5. What is the square footage breakdown of the floor work: VCT, Tile, and carpet? If
available.
A5. Public Works Trailer – 2,052 square feet of linoleum tiles.
City Hall –
1st floor – 600 sq ft of tile, 5,000 sq ft of carpet, 7,000 sq ft of VCT, and
6,200 sq ft of terrazzo
2nd floor – 11,000 sq ft of carpet, 500 sq ft of tile
3rd floor – 11,000 sq ft of carpet, 500 sq ft of tile
4th floor – 11,000 sq ft of carpet, 500 sq ft of tile
Pelican Community Park –
2nd floor – approx. 2500 sq ft of vinyl tile, 800 sq ft mats, plus bathrooms
1st floor – approx. 3800 square feet terrazzo, approx. 800 sq feet carpet
plus bathrooms
Gymnasium – approx. 9,000 square feet wood flooring
Q6. What is the average monthly amount of non-performance penalties imposed on
current contract? If applicable.
A6. No penalties fees have been applied thus far.
Q7. For vendors headquartered outside the state of Florida, could notarization of forms
be done by a duly authorized notary public in vendor’s headquarters state?
A7. Yes
Q8. Toilet paper usage?
A8. Average 6 cases per month (each case holds 96 rolls).
Q9. Shower in the Public works/Lifeguard office needs to indicate when and how it is
to be cleaned.
A9. Cleaned daily, disinfect fixtures, walls, and floors.
Q10. It was discussed to add a line item for quarterly wax of floors.
A10. Vendors can propose a suggestion for waxing floors quarterly, on a separate line
item- not included with the original pricing sheet bid total.
Q11. What was the value of the existing contract?

bathrooms available?

2nd floor – 10 toilets, 1 urinal, 13 sinks, 2 showers
3rd floor – 5 toilets, 1 urinal, 6 sinks, 0 showers
4th floor – 6 toilets, 1 urinal, 7 sinks, 1 shower
Pelican – 1st floor - 10 toilets, 1 urinal, 8 sinks, 0 showers
2nd floor – 6 toilets, 1 urinal, 7 sinks, 0 showers (plus 6 sinks in the arts &
crafts room)
Public Works Trailer – 2 toilets, 2 sinks, 0 shower
Q16. What kind of appliances and how many that will need to be cleaned?
A16. Refrigerators (City Hall – 4, Pelican Community Park – 2, Public Works Trailer – 1)
Microwaves (City Hall – 4, Pelican Community Park – 2, Public Works Trailer – 1)
Q17. Are we able to pay employees based on the SCA for this county?
A17. The contractor is responsible to follow the Fair Labor Standards Act and any other
Department of Labor requirements for their company and employees and it’s not up to the City
to determine or govern what they pay to their employees.
Q18. What type of wax was used on the flooring in the visitor’s center?
A18. Unknown
REVISION to Section 3.4 LOCATIONS OF WORK & CLEANING SCHEDULES;
4th bullet, Pelican Community Park, Cleaning should be done AFTER 8pm, but employee should
arrive to the facility no later than 8:30pm to check in with City staff and be granted access.
