A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, CORRECTING RESOLUTION NO.
2020-3134 TO REFLECT THE CORRECT VENDOR FOR PURCHASE OF
A 2020 ELDORADO AEROELITE SHUTTLE BUS; AUTHORIZING THE
ISSUANCE OF A PURCHASE ORDER TO TEXAS BUS SALES, IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED SIXTY THOUSAND SIX
HUNDRED THIRTY-ONE DOLLARS ($160,631.00); AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO
EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, on November 19th; 2020 via Resolution No. 2020-3134 ("Resolution"), the
City Commission approved the purchase of a 2020 Eldorado Aeroelite Shuttle Bus ("Bus"); and
WHEREAS, the Resolution incorrectly referenced Atlantic Bus Sales as the vendor of
the Bus;
WHEREAS, the purchase of the Bus is to be made through HGAC Buy, an Interlocal
Contract for Cooperative Purchasing; and
WHEREAS, Texas Bus Sales is the current vendor of HGAC Buy's contract; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends issuance of the purchase order to Texas Bus
Sales, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Sixty Thousand Six Hundred Thirty -One Dollars
($160,631.00), which includes a contingency in an amount not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars
($5,000.00) for any unforeseen expenses related to the bus and equipment; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to accept the correction of the Resolution to
accurately reflect Texas Bus Sales as the vendor of the Bus.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Correction of Resolution 2020-3134. The City Commission hereby accepts the
correction of Resolution 2020-3134 to accurately reflect Texas Bus Sales as the vendor of the
2020 Eldorado Aeroelite Shuttle Bus.
Section 2. Authorizing the Issuance of Purchase Order. The City Commission hereby
authorizes the issuance of a purchase order to Texas Bus Sales, in an amount not to exceed One
Hundred Sixty Thousand Six Hundred Thirty -One Dollars ($160,631.00)
Section 3. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 4. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.

RE: Correcting Resolution No. 2020-3134 Approving the
Purchase of a Shuttle Bus
RECOMMENDATION:
This Resolution is presented for you consideration
REASONS:
On November 19, 2020, the City Commission approved the purchase
of a shuttle bus from Atlantic Bus Sales through HGAC Buy. However,
the HGAC contractor has changed to Texas Bus Sales. The previous
Resolution need to be corrected to accurately reflect Texas Bus Sales
as the current vendor of the bus in order to be able to issue an
purchase order.
