South Florida Lighting Team, LLC DBA Miami Christmas Lights. 2 - Qualifications  MCL was founded in 2008 to provide dependable, comprehensive, turn-key holiday projects to  municipalities and commercial clients throughout the state of Florida. Our complete décor management  service, coupled with our world-class design team has fueled MCL’s growth over the past decade,  catapulting MCL to South Florida's premiere holiday vendor. Having serviced thousands of municipal and  commercial properties around the state over the years, we are excited to begin our 14th season. We have  the proactive culture, design expertise, operational excellence, local proximity, proprietary lighting system,  required equipment and proven leadership to execute the scope of work provided in the RFP. We look forward to having the opportunity to serve the city of Sunny Isles Beach.  Over the years, MCL is proud to have prominent municipal and commercial clients such as city of Miami  Beach, Miami International Airport, 600 Brickell World Center, city of Fort Lauderdale, Hard Rock Hotel and  Casino, Disney, town of Surfside, village of Bal Harbour, shops of Bal Harbour, city of Sunny Isles, Orlando  International Airport and many others. Each project referenced required design, fabrication, installation,  maintenance, and removal. Many unique and memorable projects, like 600 Brickell World Center, which  includes a 40 foot, 6000 lb wreath that hangs 100 feet from the ground, were so complex, that the only  viable vendor was MCL. Our 20 foot sand-snowman, Olas, is an engineering feat, designed to withstand  50 mph winds. MCL pioneered RGB light shows in South Florida with the Symphony of Lights 50 foot RGB  Christmas tree at Gulfstream Racetrack. This dazzling holiday experience has over 54,000 individually  programmed lights to create a one-of-a-kind unique holiday experience. Through our expert knowledge  and vast experience in lighting, design, engineering, production, installation and project management, MCL was successful at providing an on-time reliable, holiday display.  For almost a decade, MCL has lead the industry with viral, attention grabbing, photogenic displays. MCL  design team is not only experts in developing creative displays, but strategically positions names, brands,  and hashtags to maximize awareness and drive traffic to locations. Numerous displays have been  featured on traditional media platforms such as national television broadcasts, local publications as well  as hundreds of thousands of social media posts. The value created by social awareness produces    tremendous return on investment for our clients.  MCL is based out of a 15,000 square foot, climate controlled facility in Miami Gardens, Florida, providing a  centralized hub only 7 miles from the city of Sunny Isles Beach. We operate a fleet of company owned  vehicles and equipment, including 5 trucks, 3 lifts, 4 bucket trucks, 2 trailers and flatbeds ensuring  complete control over necessary equipment. MCL also has long standing relationships with equipment  providers throughout the state; in the event MCL does not own the required equipment for the project,  MCL can easily rent the equipment needed to complete the project. Based on the city of Sunny Isles  Beach's scope of work listed in the RFP, MCL believes it owns ample equipment to complete the project   prior to the deadline. MCL's Operations department consists of an operation manager, account manager, field manager,   electricians, heavy equipment technicians, and installation technicians. During our seasonal activities,  MCL employs a robust, but efficient team of 45 - 65 team members in addition to our permanent staff.  MCL is unique among holiday decor service companies as we employ a full-time electrician as well as  certified MOT (Maintenance of Traffic) technician as part of our seasonal team. Having a full-time South Florida Lighting Team, LLC DBA Miami Christmas Lights.  licensed electrician enables MCL to ensure displays are properly powered to prevent annoying  maintenance or even catastrophic fires. Our MOT technician develops road closure plans to safely divert  traffic while decor is installed. With over 275 illuminated trees and 160 light pole decor, having a full time  electrician and MOT technician is crucial to safely and successfully install the holiday project for the city   of Sunny Isles Beach.  Since MCL's inception, our continued investment in technology, product development and global sourcing  has driven MCL to not only be the premier service provider of South Florida, but also develop two  exclusive patented holiday products. Our Laborless Lighting system boasts the highest reliability for any  tree lighting system and our Easy Treezy line of products ensure perfectly decorated and installed holiday  decor. MCL has also developed proprietary management software that projects installation time, supplies,  and materials as well as allows our management team to track real-time installation and maintenance  progress. Included in our software suite is our client portal offering simple, convenient, transparent on  demand communication. MCL's continued investment into technology is a key component making MCL the most reliable holiday vendor for ensuring on time project completion.  With over 250 palm trees identified to be illuminated in the RFP, the city of Sunny Isles Beach needs a  partner that is an expert in lighting. MCL's proprietary Laborless Lighting product is the perfect match as it  reduces GFCI trips by 86% ensuring on time and reduced maintenance for displays. The product also  revolutionizes how lights are installed as it removes harmful staples from the installation process while  guaranteeing lighting consistency of each tree. Our proprietary electrical components create a completely  water-tight system for all electrical cables, power converters and lights. This extra layer of protection  further reduces the opportunity for failed lights and dark areas due to the wet and humid South Florida environment.  MCL's primary service matches that of Sunny Isles Beach's RFP as we provide design, fabrication,  installation, maintenance, removal and storage of large, complex holiday lighting and decor programs.  Over the years, MCL has perfected this process propelling our company to be the premier vendor in South  Florida. Our proven track record of providing full service lighting and decor displays is evident in our  notable projects throughout South Florida and verifies that MCL is the most qualified vendor to provide    the services requested by city of Sunny Isle Beach for their holiday lighting project.  MCL leads the industry creating unique and memorable holiday experiences. Our investment in a  world-class design team, commitment to product development and operational excellence has made MCL  the premier holiday service provider in South Florida. After an intense review of the city's RFP and hours of  site inspections, MCL is undoubtedly able to fulfil the requirements of the RFP. MCL's proprietary lighting  systems, investment in technology and proven industry experience will ensure that the city of Sunny Isles  Beach has a unique and memorable holiday display. Our previous experience successfully working with  the city and intimate knowledge of the area, makes MCL the most knowledgeable company. MCL understands the unique needs of Sunny Isles Beach and has proven in the past to handle such projects. South Florida Lighting Team, LLC DBA Miami Christmas Lights. 3 - Staffing Organizational Leadership  Kurt Stange is the sole principal and acting President of MCL. Kurt has been instrumental in assembling  MCL's leadership team, including Operations Manager Johamn Barrozo, Maintenance Manager Amik  Ramallo, and Design Directo, Edwin Santa. Each of the mentioned members of MCL's management team will play a role in the Sunny Isles Beach holiday service.  Due to Kurt's immense knowledge of Sunny Isles Beach and previous holiday installation experience with  the city, Kurt will fulfill the Project Manager role. He will be involved in vir tually every aspect of the project,  meeting with the city, reviewing designs, approving fabrication plans, finalizing installation, verifying  service and removal schedules as well as providing quality control to the inspection and refurbishment of  the decor after the season. Kurt understands the demands of the city and commits to leading this project,  guaranteeing its success. Kurt will be supported by his management team listed above in the following capacity:  Johamn Barrozo will be the Secondary Project Manager and Operations Manager, supporting Kurt with his  lead on the project. Johamn will ensure the planned activities are being executed on time and report to   Kurt daily on the progress of the team.  Edwin Santa will be the lead designer on the project. Edwin is supported by a team of graphic artists that   will help fulfill the product design needs of the project. ill manage the nightly maintenance for the city, ensuring all lights are functioning properly, Amik Ramallo w training service technicians specifically allocated to Sunny Isles Beach and review nightly reports.   MCL's management team will have weekly project meetings, lead by Kurt, to ensure the project is on track  for a successful, on-time installation. Weekly communications on progress will be provided to the city.  MCL does not use subcontractors. Key Project Personnel Primary Project Manager and Point of Contact: Kurt Stange Job Description: Kurt Stange will be the primary project manager and main point of contact for the City of Sunny Isles  Beach. He will be involved with all aspects of the project including understanding the city's vision,  reviewing designs, presenting final plans to the city for approval, monitoring production, supervising  installation, preforming quality control inspections, reviewing maintenance reports, and organizing  removal and storage.  Kurt and the MCL team utilized cloud based project management software to As the Primary Project Manager, ensure all individual deadlines are being met and to the quality expected.  Kurt will guarantee that the holiday project for the city of Sunny Isles Beach is flawless.  South Florida Lighting Team, LLC DBA Miami Christmas Lights. Kurt Stange was Primary Project Manager for several large scale projects in the past and understands the  discipline, dedication and energy it takes to complete these project successfully. These projects include  the 40 foot wreath for 600 Brickell World Plaza, the Fort Lauderdale 20 foot sand-snowman, and the 50  foot RBG Christmas tree at Gulfstream Racetrack and Casino. When managing the creation and execution  of a large scale project, Kurt's skill is unparalleled. As a more in depth example of Kurt's capabilities, back in 2011, MCL was contracted to supply a 40 foot  wreath on the side of a skyscraper in Brickell. This concept, which Kurt envision, had never been done  before and needless to say the management at 600 Brickell was doubtful. Kurt and his team created  structural engineered drawings, designed building anchors, created 220 ton crane installation guides,  executed all permitting and won over the management teams' approval. Through the fabrication and  installation process many unforeseen challenges arose, forcing Kurt to adapt and find solutions. His  perseverance came to fruition in November of 2011 when the 40 foot wreath was successfully installed,  creating a tradition in Brickell that is still unmatched to this day. Kurt's success with this project over a  decade ago proves MCL's capabilities and provides confidence knowing any and all projects are possible  with the proper dedication. Company Position: President Areas of responsibility: Project management, talent acquisition, team motivation, and organizational  management Years of experience: 13 Secondary Project/Operations Manager: Johamn Borrozo Job Description:  Johamn Borrozo, MCL Operations Manager, will act as both the Operations Manager as well as the  Secondary Project Manager for the city of Sunny Isles Beach's holiday project. Johamn brings over 15  years of experience in building, supervising and leading successful field teams. Johan has phenomenal  communication skills fluent in both English and Spanish, excellent customer service and excels in multitasking. Johan   has worked on all MCLs large projects since joining the team. Johamn has since taken over sole  leadership and responsibility to the 600 Brickell World Plaza project referenced above as well as many  others. Johamn is the Primary Project Manager to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino's holiday display. For  this display, Johamn and his team set up a 15 foot golden guitar and record with photo base designed for  visitors to take pictures on. His proactive planning, attention to detail and thirst for knowledge has  excelled his growth at MCL. There is no project currently in MCL's portfolio that Johamn is unable to   successfully complete. Johamn   will work hand in hand with Kurt to take the city's vision and ensure it is executed with his team.  He will be responsible for all MCL's daily operations including overseeing inventory, fabrication,  installations, quality control, maintenance, refurbishment, and storage. His attention to detail and  proactive planning culture ensures MCL will be successful in execution the city of Sunny Isles Beach's South Florida Lighting Team, LLC DBA Miami Christmas Lights. holiday decor program. Company Position: Operations Manager Areas of responsibility: Fabrication, engineering, project management, scheduling, quality control Years of experience: 15 Lead Designer: Edwin Santa Job Description:  Edwin Santa is MCL's Design Director and will be responsible for all the creative development for the city  of Sunny Isles Beach. Edwin's previous experience in art, sculpture and production make him unique as he  creates the decor vision while using his extensive knowledge and experience with engineering and  construction to bring the vision to life. Edwin's role in the city of Sunny Isles Beach's project will be to lead   all design creation to meet the city's needs. Edwin is the mastermind behind all major displays MCL produces including the Olas sand-snowman,  Sunny Isle Beach's sandcastle display, Hard Rock Hotel and Casino's 15 foot guitar and many others. His  passion for holiday projects and seeing his creations come to life, often lead him to the installation sites  with the teams watching his creations take form.  Edwin dwells on every detail during design and  manufacturing ensuring the installation is smooth and safe resulting in beautiful iconic displays.  Company Position:  Design Director  Areas of responsibility: Design, fabrication, engineering, production, viral social media content, photography Years of experience: 16 Maintenance Manager: Amik Ramallo Job Description: Amik Ramallo   is the Maintenance Manager for the city of Sunny Isles Beach's holiday project. Amik has  the operational know how to ensure displays are installed correctly to reliably function the length of the  season. He has proven leadership in organizing field and heavy equipment technicians to maximize their   efficiencies, completing projects ahead of schedule. Amik   has personally worked on and supervised dozen's of MCL major decor projects including 600  Brickell World Center, Fort Lauderdale Beach, town of Surfside and Miami International Airport. Amik is a  leader by nature and takes the initiative to ensure his projects are completed on time and with quality  workmanship. Once the project is completed, Amik schedules the nightly service to inspect the display and creates client reports to ensure thorough and complete communication.  As the Maintenance Manager for Sunny Isles Beach, Amik will be onsite with the field team ensuring  installation is done correctly. Amik will complete maintenance plans and present to the city no later than  October 1st of each year. These plans will be shared with the city detailing how and when MCL will be  maintaining the project. Once the project is live, Amik will coordinate the maintenance with our  technicians, reviewing reports nightly and submitting them to our internal systems for storage. In the South Florida Lighting Team, LLC DBA Miami Christmas Lights.  event there is an issue that our service technicians are unable to solve, Amik will be on site with them to   correct the problem, ensuring a reliable display for the city of Sunny Isles Beach. Company Position: Maintenance Manager  Areas of responsibility: Team leadership, problem solving, installation planning, electrical, project management, fabrications Years of experience: 5 Organizational Char t  As the Primary Project Manger, Kurt will have the ultimate responsibility to ensure the project is executed  successfully. The Primary Project Manager will delegate activities to ensure all tasks are completed on time  The Secondary Project Manager will work hand in hand with the Primary Project Manager to develop  strategies and plans related to the installation and maintenance portion of the project. The Secondary   Project Manager then executes those plans with the Maintenance Manager and field technicians.  Depending on the confirmed Scope of Work from Sunny Isles Beach, the Design Director and Global  Sourcing Manager may be involved if new decor items are needed. These two roles report directly to the   Primary Project Manager who works directly with design and sourcing for any new decor needed.  To ensure smooth communication and on time delivery, MCL will utilize cloud based project management  software to ensure accountability within its team as well as have weekly meetings to review progress and   address any challenges. Project updates will be provided to the city as often as desired. South Florida Lighting Team, LLC DBA Miami Christmas Lights. 4 - Approach and Methodology  MCL's relentless commitment to completing projects on time, coupled with our proactive company culture  and detail oriented proprietary software has lead MCL to be the the most reliable holiday vendor in South  Florida. With Covid-19 creating unforeseen challenges, advanced planning is important to ensure a  quality, on-time projects. MCL's approach to the city of Sunny Isles Beach is to have the project scope  approved no later than June 30th, 2021. This allows MCL to complete our site inspections and installation  plans by July 15th, 2021, with finalization of the project no later than July 31st, 2021. By both parties committing to this timeline, MCL can confidently complete the holiday project by November 19th 2021.  The commitment to clear, transparent communication is imperative to any successful relationship. After  each relevant discussion, MCL will provide a recap email specifying each parties responsibilities with  agreed deadlines. MCL has found that these recap discussions with completion dates is key to  completing projects on time. Our leadership team will be available to the city at their request not only  during the season, but throughout the entire year. MCL's commitment to our proven process of advanced  planning, capacity restrictions, and clear communication will guarantee a dependable, on time delivery of   Sunny Isles Beach's holiday display.  The first step to executing the city of Sunny Isles Beach's holiday project is planning. MCL's team will meet  with city staff no later than June 30th, 2021 to review the proposed project for final adjustments. Once all  aspects of display are understood, MCL will create a project with milestones and due dates in our project  management software to share with city staff, keeping everyone on track and providing complete transparency.  As the scope of work is confirmed, MCL's operations team will prepare installation plans, which includes,  personnel requirements, equipment, installation duration, site restrictions, electrical maps, and  malfunctioning city receptacles. Installation plans submitted to MCL management for approval are  scrutinized through a "virtual installation" meeting to identify potential challenges. Scheduling restrictions  for site requirements, community impact and equipment needs are always accounted for as well as  additional installation dates for weather related delays. After installation plans are approved, MCL   presents the schedule to the city for approval.  As project decor moves to production, MCL utilizes our vast network of local, regional and world-wide  manufacturing partners to determine where each item will be made. Careful consideration is given to  quality, cost and production time to determine which facility is best. Once orders are placed, MCL's  Production Manager uses our cloud-based software, with daily status meetings, to ensure production is  completed on time. MCL's multi-teared production strategy enables MCL to utilize the supplier providing the best lead time, quality, price, and overall value for Sunny Isles Beach's decor.  MCL has a vast inventory of lights, supplies, materials and electrical cables to easily fulfill the presented  projects. Due to MCL's desire to create a truly unique and memorable experience for Sunny Isles Beach,  MCL has presented all custom designed decor that will need to be fabricated from scratch upon approval.  MCL has proactively sourced all components and is confident we will be able to produce all presented   decor within the timeline in the RFP. South Florida Lighting Team, LLC DBA Miami Christmas Lights.  MCL invests heavily in acquiring and training the best field managers and technicians. All applicants must  pass an extreme vetting process including multiple interviews, screenings and background checks. Our  comprehensive training programs including installation techniques, customer interactions, company  professionalism and safety ensures MCL's team is well trained, professional and safe. Each course has a  dedicated training manual and course curriculum including classroom, facility, and field instruction that all  employees must pass annually. Our intense training curriculum, managed by MCL's software, tracks  employee progress to verify that field technicians have successfully passed each phase of training before  contributing to our installation teams, guaranteeing consistent results. Through MCLs intense focus on safety, MCL has been accident free for the past 4 years, a record we are very proud of.  MCL is fully compliant with all local, state and federal laws and holds itself to a higher standard than  required by law. Our 46 page employee handbook in addition to a 42 page safety handbook ensures that  we are compliant with all applicable laws including ADA, Family Leave and many others. Our team  routinely holds safety meetings throughout the year to ensure proper safety habits are always top of  mind. Both documents are confidential in nature, but can be shared with the city in a confidential nature   upon request.  MCL has refined its installation process over the years to be the least intrusive while ensuring projects are  completed on time. Our three phases approach, advanced power, lighting, and decor managed by our  proprietary software system, ensures the proper specialist preforms each activity producing quality  results. Installation software is used in the field through tablets providing required information to the  installation team as well as project progress to management. If questions arise during the install, the  system allows both field and management teams to solve it together. This is a very powerful tool to    ensure that MCL is able to accomplish the projects as planned.  For the city of Sunny Isles Beach's holiday display, MCL will begin the advanced power installation phase  in mid August with completion in two weeks. This phase includes installing all power cables from  electrical receptacles to locations where lights and decor will be installed. The second phase of  installation is the lighting phase. In this phase, MCL will install all lighting elements that are practically  invisible and lay dormant until the display is activated. This portion of the installation is most time  consuming, and will require MCL to begin in early September and will take two to four weeks to complete.  The final stage of installation is the decor phase which installs all visible decor elements. Our strategy for  the decor phase is to apply all resources to an individual section completing it as quickly as possible,  typically in one day. Based on the items referenced in the RFP, MCL anticipates the decor phase lasting 5 days, easily completing the project prior to the November 19th deadline.  After the entire project is completed, MCL will coordinate a client walk-through with the city of Sunny Isles  Beach to show the completed project illuminated. This walk-through will occur at least 5 days prior to  project activation date allowing time to fix any deficiencies found by the the city. Completing site  inspection with city staff and MCL management will ensure the project is completed and approved prior to the activation date. Once the display is activated, MCL will begin nightly inspection to ensure its constant pristine condition.   Based on the areas highlighted in the RFP, MCL believes three dedicated maintenance technicians, South Florida Lighting Team, LLC DBA Miami Christmas Lights.  specifically trained on Sunny Isles Beach's decor and intimate knowledgeable of the property will provide  quick, quality nightly inspections. After each nightly service, reports are reviewed and available for the city  to review through MCL's online portal which will host nightly service reports with pictures. City staff also  have the ability to report outages through the portal and track the progression of the repair. This  transparent communication tool allows all managers at MCL to be looped in on Sunny Isles Beach's needs    as well as provide transparency to the city on MCL's activities.  As all good things come to an end, at the end of the holiday season, MCL will commence with decoration  removal in three phases: disconnect, decor and lighting. To be extremely proactive, the removal of all  lighting and decor is planned and scheduled at the same time as the installation, leaving nothing to   chance.  During the first phase, Disconnect, MCL sweeps through city in one day, disconnecting all lights and decor  so the entire project is dark. In the second phase, Decor, MCL works to quickly remove all visible decor  items from the property. The third and final phase, Lighting, MCL will remove all lights and electrical cable  completing the full removal of the project. MCL anticipates based on the scope of work that removal will be completed within 5 days, no later than January 15th 2022. Project Intro - Twinkle Isle Lights Twinkle Isle Lights is a stunning collection of twinkly decor blanketing the city of Sunny Isles Beach.  MCL's philosophy with this presentation is to cover the entire city in beautiful holiday lights to create a  unique and memorable holiday experience for city residents and tourists alike. Decor is placed within  many of the parks creating photo opportunities that are shared via social networks.  Passing through any of the city entrances, a cheerful holiday spirit engulfs as the twinkling lights of Sunny  Isle Beach are seen. Continuing through the city, playful illuminated holiday banners adorn each light pole  creating a consistent and complimentary holiday feel. Further down the strip, hundreds of illuminated  palms create a holiday experience like no other.  The major parks of Sunny Isles Beach are all decked out in their holiday best, with unique, attention  grabbing, social sharing displays that entice pictures to be taken and shared, further promoting the city's  display. A unique and memorable hashtag is tagged (not seen on photos) on all displays to promote the  city. A new tradition of the holidays is born that is part of the city's culture! The Festival of Lights Holiday Event Experience The Festival of Lights holiday event is sure to be a huge attraction. MCL has selected a 20' Christmas tree  that features RGB lighting and is programmed to put on a holiday show. The unique display features  five  holiday songs that repeats the show every 30 mins, ensuring all that want to see the stunning display  have a chance. After the show, mingle through four holiday stations for photo ops and AR surprises. The Polar Bear  Plunge features a Dad and Mom Polar Bear. One polar bear stands on an iceberg whilethe other wades  next to the chilly water created by blue and cool white lights scattered across the grass. Animated cool  white tube lights create the illusion of waves within this icey water scene. Head over to the golden trees and take out your phone for an exciting AR surprise. Elves pop their heads  from behind the trees, snow falls, and who knows, maybe Santa will even come to say hello.  The next stop on the journey are two photo board photo ops. The first is a playful beach scene  encapsulated in a snow globe for complete family fun. The other is the gingerbread family, ready to go to  Sunny Isles Beach and enjoy the holidays, no more cold and snow for them! Create a great picture by  sticking your head through the holes and snapping a photo you can send to Grandma.  MCL tops off the event with the suggestion of placing food trucks on the edge of the park to provide  patrons with the opportunity for light refreshments. Festival of Lights is a fun, family oriented holiday  experience designed to keep people in the park for about an hour. By spreading the various displays out  spaciously, crowds wont gather too close to each other. The 20'RGB Christmas tree center point is large  enough to see from anywhere within the park to promote social distancing. South Florida Lighting Team, LLC DBA Miami Christmas Lights. 6 - References   The MCL team is no stranger to large holiday display and lighting projects that require design, fabrication,  installation, maintenance, removal, storage, and refurbishment and provide these services to many  municipalities, event venues, resorts, casino and hotel facilities. As the current vendor for many  municipality holiday décor programs including the city of Sunny Isles Beach, MCL is uniquely qualified to  help create and execute the city's holiday vision. Below are a few current and past projects from the highlight reel with accompanying images: Project Name: City of Fort Lauderdale, Las Olas and A1A Fort Lauderdale Beach Contract Method: Competitive RFP award Company Role: Prime contractor Project Description and Scope:  The city of Fort Lauderdale is a growing municipality and was looking to increase their tourism footprint  with a profound statement and increased holiday presence. Their goal was to attract tourists and locals  alike to the beach, boosting the local economy and creating a worldwide attraction. The scope of work  required the responding vendors to create an iconic, photogenic centralized display at the Las Olas Hub  as well as 3 miles of decor for over 150 street lights along A1A. MCL's design team knocked it out of the  park by creating Olas, the Fort Lauderdale sand-snowman and beach themed starfish and seashell pole  decor. MCL painted the vision that each year Olas would be slightly updated to be preforming a new,  beach centric activity to create an annual tradition for the community while keeping the display new and  fresh. MCL, competing against several other vendors, was awarded the project through a competitive RFP   process.  Due to the short time between award and installation of the project, MCL had already begun proactively  executing the project. The design of Olas and the pole decor were approved by a structural engineer and  MCL was sourcing all materials, preparing the orders and blocking production space with our partner  fabrication facilities. Once the project was formally awarded, MCL sprang into action to ensure fabrication  was completed prior to the installation date and city's ceremony. Without this proactive approach and well   planned, staffed installation, MCL would not have been able to meet the incredibility tight deadline. Project Name: Town of Surfside, Hardings Ave, Surfside, FL Contract Method: Competitively awarded RFP Company Role: Prime contractor Project Description and Scope:  MCL has provided the town of Surfside with holiday lighting and decor since 2015 through piggyback  contracts MCL had been awarded. The town wanted to continue to increase their project scope beyond  what piggybacking allowed and issued an RFP to challenge local vendors to create an enchanted holiday  environment for their main area of commerce along Hardings Avenue. MCL's design team was excited for  the opportunity and began researching the community to create a unique design tied to the history of the  town. Equally important to the design was the commitment to installation and execution of the project.  The town put as much emphasis on execution as it did design vision. The town board knew their electrical  system was fussy and the electrical strategy and installation had to be perfect or the project would be   consumed with constant maintenance issues.  MCL presented our design vision including over 130 wrapped trees, custom designed and fabricated  crystal spheres and Art Decor monument displays. MCL also created an in depth electrical, installation,  and maintenance plan to show the town how we would execute the project, should it be award. The town  unanimously voted to award the RFP to MCL, beating out several other vendors. The key to MCL  successful bid for this project, as all vendors presented similar budgeted projects, was MCLs extensive  knowledge of the town's electrical system and detailed installation and maintenance plan. Our knowledge  of the property was gained over the five years of successful installations, allowing the MCL team to have  the electrical design, installation, maintenance plan, and required assets to complete the project on time   and within budget. Project Name: 600 Brickell World Center, 600 Brickell Ave, Brickell, FL Contract Method: Privately awarded competitively bid contract Company Role: Prime contractor Project Description and Scope:  Back in 2011, 600 Brickell was the new revolutionizing building being constructed as one of the first LEAD  certified buildings in Miami. The Brickell management's vision for the new property and community  centric plaza was to create the "Rockefeller Plaza" of Miami for the holidays. The Brickell team reached  out to several holiday suppliers and invited qualified vendors from around the state to present their vision of the project.  MCL's imagination ran wild and knew that if we wanted to win this project, our proposal would have to be  so iconic, that it would be as memorable as the Rockefeller Christmas tree. Through dozens of designs  and brainstorming sessions, MCL finally came up with a concept, many thought impossible, hanging a 40  foot wreath on the side of the building overlooking the plaza. In addition to this iconic element, MCL also   illuminated all the vegetation on the plaza to ensure a dazzling experience.  Needless to say, when MCL presented the idea to 600's management team, they fell in love with the  concept, but had their reservations about execution. MCL provided structural engineering plans,  installation diagrams and all necessary permits and documentation to convince the team that we could  execute the project. As one may expect with such a forward thinking project of this scope, unforeseen  challenges popped up several times, but in each occurrence, MCL persevered and completed the project   on time and within budget.  MCL has now dialed in the installation of the display and accomplishes the project in only one day. Due to  safety concerns, building compliance and to minimize the impact to patrons, MCL installs the display on  the first Saturday in November. MCL uses a 120 foot high reach lift and 220 ton crane as well as many  other technical equipment to ensure a safe and proper installation.  Without precise planning and  impeccable execution, disastrous consequences are possible with this project, however for the past 10   seasons of installation, MCL has never had an incident.  MCL is proud to be part of a decade long tradition for Brickell that kicks off the holiday for the residents.  The wreath has been featured many times on national television, in magazines and all over social media.   The "Rockefeller" tradition that 600 Brickell World Center set out to create has been accomplished. President Leasing and Management, Brickell South Florida Lighting Team, LLC DBA Miami Christmas Lights. 7 - Availability  MCL is conscientious of our current workload and cautious to never over stress our company resources,  diminishing our service. Our time tested methodology has proven it is important to account for asset,  equipment and personnel limitations as to not overload operational capacity. MCL has addressed this  concern through our proprietary software which calculates our workload against equipment,  management, and seasonal resources to project capacity limitations. MCL has built an impeccable  reputation for its commitment to quality, timely holiday services through its capacity awareness, declining   business we can't adequately service.  After an intense review of the city's RFP, MCL feels confident that we will be able to easily fulfill the Scope  of Work within the timeline. Our current contracted workload represents 58% of our maximum capacity  based on the current equipment and staffing. Adding the city of Sunny Isles Beach's project workload to  our current book of business will increase our workload approximately 7%. This will bring our 2021  workload up to 65% ensuring MCL has the resources to successfully execute the project. MCL operates  on a first come first serve basis. When our maximum workload capacity reaches 95%, MCL no longer  takes on new accounts, with our sole focus on executing the accounts contracted and keeping our   promised service.  MCL balances budget restrictions and production deadlines with local, regional and world-wide  manufacturing capabilities. Over the years, MCL has built a vast network of fabrication partners, each  thoroughly vetted to ensure production quality. In addition, MCL has its own production facility at its  Miami Gardens location to produce specialized, one-off or time sensitive items. Depending on the final  Scope of Work selected by Sunny Isles Beach, MCL will review the best vendors to execute production.  MCL's multi-teared production strategy enables MCL to produce with the supplier providing the best lead time, quality, price, and overall value for Sunny Isles Beach's decor.
