A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING THE
EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF
EASEMENTS FOR THE PEDESTRIAN OVERPASS BRIDGE TO
BE LOCATED OVER COLLINS AVENUE AND 174m STREET, IN
AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE MILLION NINETY-
THREE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED FORTY-THREE
DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS ($1,093,943.50); AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO
EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on June 20th, 2019, via Resolution No. 2019-2950 the City Commission
approved the acquisition of necessary casements for the construction of a pedestrian overpass
bridge to be located over Collins Avenue and 174'h Street; and
WHEREAS, due to the necessity and urgency in acquiring these easements the City
Manager exceeded his authorized expenditure amount; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission now wishes to ratify the expenditure of funds used to
acquire the necessary easements for the construction of a pedestrian overpass bridge to be located
over Collins Avenue and 1741h Street, in an amount not to exceed One Million Ninety-Three
Thousand Nine Hundred Forty-Three Dollars and Fifty Cents ($1,093,943.50).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ratification of Expenditure. The City Commission hereby ratifies the expenditure
of funds used to acquire the necessary easements for the construction of a pedestrian overpass
bridge to be located over Collins Avenue and 1741h Street, in an amount not to exceed One
Million Ninety-Three Thousand Nine Hundred Forty-Three Dollars and Fifty Cents
($1,093,943.50).
Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption.
