A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING AN IN -KIND
DONATION FOR USE OF SPACE WITHIN THE GOVERNMENT
CENTER BY MOUNT SINAI MEDICAL CENTER TO PROVIDE
SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY, IN AN ANNUAL ESTIMATED
AMOUNT OF TWO THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2,400);
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS
NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION: PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Mount Sinai Medical Center has partnered with the City of Sunny Isles
Beach to provide health and wellness education services to the community; and
WHEREAS, through this partnership the City provides the free use of space within the
Government Center and event listing in City publications; and
WHEREAS, the Mount Sinai Medical Center provides the professional doctors, health
care support providers, and marketing staff to offer free services to our community including
lecture series and health screenings; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach wishes to provide an in -kind donation for use
of space within the Government Center by the Mount Sinai Medical Center, in an annual
estimated amount of Two Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($2,400.00).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Donation. The City Commission hereby approves the donation of in-
kind support for the Mount Sinai Medical Center of free use of space within the Government
Center, in an annual estimated amount of Two Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($2,400.00).
Section 2. Authority of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of June 2014.

In -Kind Donation of Use of Space to Mount Sinai Medical Center
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission approve the attached resolution to
approve the in -kind use of space within the Government Center by Mount Sinai
Medical Center to provide services to the community.
REASONS:
Mount Sinai Medical Center has partnered with the City to provide health and
wellness education services to the community of Sunny Isles Beach. Through
this partnership the City provides the free use of space within the Government
Center and event listings in City publications. Mount Sinai provides the
professional doctors, health care support providers, and marketing staff to offer
free services to our community to include lecture series and health screenings.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Estimated in -kind donation for the free use of this space on an annual basis is
$2,400.
FUNDING SOURCE:
No funding is required for this item.
