FPL Project Experience • Ferreira feels that it is important for the City to hire a contractor that has worked for utility owners like FPL and as such we provided a list of FPL projects completed by our South Florida operation that include our duct bank work as well as other relevant work. This table provides a quick review of a resume of projects that clearly provide evidence of our competencies and our proven experience in similar project environments. All of these projects were safely and timely completed by Ferreira. 2. Active Projects • We provide the City a list of all our active projects in the South Florida area. • The list includes projects that will soon be completed by Ferreira from which numerous resources will be available to be allocated to this Project. 3. Past Experience This table provides the City with a list of all our projects in South Florida. The projects listed provide the City with the assurance that Ferreira is a contractor that has experience in underground utility construction, including duct bank and manhole installations, in highly urban areas where maintenance of traffic, coordination with numerous agencies and utility owners, environmental sensible areas, and accelerated completion. 4. Safety 2. Public Welfare 3. Quality 4. Timely Completion Safety. Ferreira holds Safety as our number one priority in everything that we do. In order to complete this project while maintaining the highest standard of safety on the job, Ferreira will implement the following safety guidelines that will be incorporated in a project specific Safety Plan that will be presented upon contract award: Figure 2 - Duct Bank Installation at Sevilla Ave Project in Coral Gables, for FPL • A Job Safety Briefing (JSB) will be conducted every morning to establish daily risks and allow all project personnel to discuss any safety concern. • Certified traffic safety personnel will be assigned to the job to periodically inspect and ensure that local traffic is safely circulating. • Ferreira's Safety Manager will periodically visit the Project to ensure strict adherence to our Safety Plan • Each crew will have an assigned Safety Champion, who will assist each foreman in the adherence of our safety guidelines. • Equipment will be checked daily to ensure its safe and efficient performance including the prevention of leaks and oil spills. • A Safety Kickoff Meeting will be conducted prior to the start of any construction. All project personnel will participate. All project stakeholders and City representatives are welcomed to attend. Public Welfare. Ferreira understands that the Project is located in a high-profile residential area and that utmost care must be taken by the Contractor to ensure the work is performed with the safety, integrity, and welfare of the Public and residents always in mind. Our experience working in the installation of duct banks in similar project environments will be an invaluable asset to the City in meeting its project goals. Our maintenance of traffic supervisors, safety manager, and project superintendent will make certain that our Maintenance of Traffic patterns take into consideration local traffic needs and that it meets MUTCD standards. Emergency vehicles will be allowed to pass by without any interference of our work, even if the work needs to stop temporarily to allow it. Quality. Over the course of the last 5 years, Ferreira has performed for numerous local agencies gaining the reputation of an integral and safe contractor. Our goal is to complete our work right the first time. For this purpose, we assign work crews and supervisors that have the proper experience to complete the work at hand. On this project, we will assign only personnel that has extensive experience in the installation FERREfRA of underground utilities in Miami -Dade. Ferreira will also utilize top quality materials on the project purchased from reputable vendors with whom we have repeatedly partnered on other projects. We have included three tables in our Proposal that will provide the City a snap picture of our past experience, our FPL projects and our projects at hand. All these projects have provided Ferreira an unmatched resume of relevant experience that include the installation of underground utilities of all types that required the coordination with numerous utility owners, that involved detailed planning and accelerated construction in highly urban areas in Miami - Dade, and that provide our personnel the know-how required to build this Project. Timely Completion. Ferreira understands what it takes to complete a project within specific timeframes required by our clients. We have never been issued liquidated damages on any of our projects, a testament to the level of planning and execution of our project personnel. With the City's project goals in mind, we will develop a CPM schedule with project milestones that will be monitored weekly by our project management team and that will be updated as required by the contract documents. Ferreira will work with the City as needed to adjust, amend, or implement any milestones to complete the project ahead of time.
