A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH,
FLORIDA, CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF 16ttoV1
TO FILL THE VACANCY FOR CITY COMMISSIONER SEAT 1; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Larisa Svechin tendered her resignation as Commissioner Seat 1 of the City
of Sunny Isles Beach ("City"), effective November 3, 2021; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.5 (c) (ii) of the City's Charter, the Mayor has the
authority to nominate a qualified elector of the City to fill a vacancy on the Commission, subject
to confirmation of the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Goldman has nominatedJ&WA- 9A611V06 to fill the
Commission Seat 1 vacancy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BYTHE CITY COMMISSION OFTHE CITY OF SUNNY
ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Filling of City Commissioner Seat 1 Vacancy. The Mayor hereby nominates, and
the City Commission confirms, the nomination ofto fill the
vacancy for City Commissioner Seat 1.
Section 2. Assumption of Duties. The aforementioned vacancy shall be filled until the
results are certified for the Special Election scheduled to occur on January 25, 2022, or, any
resultant run-off.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 30th day of November 2021.

RECOMMENDATION:
This Resolution is presented for your consideration.
REASONS:
Pursuant to the State of Florida's Resign -to -Run Law, Larisa Svechin tendered her resignation a!
Commissioner Seat 1 of the City of Sunny Isles Beach effective November 3, 2021. Pursuant to Sectioi
2.5 (c) (ii) of the City's Charter, as the duly elected Mayor I have the authority to nominate a qualified
elector of the City to fill a vacancy on the Commission, subject to confirmation of the City Commission.
At this time, I wish to nominate
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
to fill the Commission Seat 1 vacancy.
The appointee will serve on the Commission until the special election scheduled for January 25, 2022.
