FOR UPGRADES TO THE CITY'S WI -FI EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED SEVENTY-THREE DOLLARS AND FIFTY-TWO CENTS ($25,773.52); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on May 191h, 2022, via Resolution No. 2022-3344, the City Commission authorized the expenditure of budgeted funds with PC Solutions & Integration, Inc. ("Vendor") for upgrades to the cyber security hardware and software of the City's network infrastructure, in an amount not to exceed $64,226.48; and WHEREAS, the City's Information Technology Department ("IT") has determined that the City's Wi-Fi equipment and software are in need of upgrades ("Services"); and WHEREAS, IT has obtained a quote from the Vendor to provide the Services, using National Association of State Procurement Officials ("NASPO") Contract No. 43230000-NASPO- 16-ACS; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the City's procurement code provisions, purchases made through intergovernmental cooperative purchasing arrangements or purchasing consortiums organized as a corporation not for profit whose members are governmental entities, provided that such cooperative purchasing arrangements or consortiums provide for a competitive process to select a vendor are exempt from the City's competitive bidding procedures; and WHEREAS, the City now wishes to authorize the expenditure of budgeted and approved funds with PC Solutions & Integration, Inc. for upgrades to the City's Wi-Fi equipment and software, in an amount not to exceed Twenty -Five Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy -Three Dollars and Fifty -Two Cents ($25,773.52), which includes a contingency in the amount of Twelve Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty -Two Dollars and Twelve Cents ($12,722.12), for a total expenditure authorization not to exceed Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000.00). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Authorization to Expend Funds. The City Commission hereby authorizes the expenditure of budgeted and approved funds with PC Solutions & Integration, Inc. for upgrades to the City's Wi-Fi equipment and software, in an amount not to exceed Twenty -Five Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy -Three Dollars and Fifty -Two Cents ($25,773.52), which includes a contingency in the amount of Twelve Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty -Two Dollars and Twelve Cents ($12,722.12), for a total expenditure authorization not to exceed Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000.00). @BCL@480FB2D1.Doc Page 1 of 2 105 Section 2. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of this Resolution. REASONS: The City has previously purchased a total of $64,226.48 in products and services from PC Solutions $ Integration Inc., this fiscal year. The City is planning to purchase a new Wi-Fi equipment and software which will cost approximately $13,051.40. Staff would also like to request an a contingency amount of $12,722.12 for additional purchases this fiscal year. This expenditure is to renew the hardware and software maintenance, as well as the various associated product subscriptions, for a total of $25,773.52. Therefore, this resolution authorizes the additional expenditure of budgeted funds in the amount of $25,773.52 with PC Solutions & Integration INC, for the remainder of fiscal year 2022-2023, for a tota not -to -exceed amount of $90,000.00.
