HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2022-3385RESOLUTION NO. 2022 - .� A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH TENTATIVE AD VALOREM TAX MILLAGE LEVY RATE AT 2.0000 MILLS PER ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00) OF TAXABLE ASSESSED VALUE WHICH IS 4.50% LESS THAN THE "ROLLED BACK" RATE OF 1.9139 MILLS, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022/2023; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Miami -Dade County, Florida ("County Property Appraiser"), served upon the City of Sunny Isles Beach a "Certification of 2022 Taxable Value"; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 200.065, F.S., the City of Sunny Isles Beach furnished the County Property Appraiser the proposed millage rate, and the date, time and place at which public hearings will be held to consider the tentative millage rate and tentative budget; and WHEREAS, the City Commission agrees to establish the proposed ad valorem tax millage levy rate at 2.0000 mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of taxable assessed value. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Adopt the Tentative Millage Rate. The proposed millage rate is hereby adopted as 2.0000 mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of assessed property value in the City of Sunny Isles Beach. The proposed millage is 4.50% less than the "rolled back" rate of 1.9139 mills, for Fiscal Year 2022/2023. Section 2 ATTEST: Maurizio Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
