RESOLUTION NO. 2023 -
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH,
FLORIDA, APPOINTING VICE MAYOR JOSEPH AS THE CITY'S DELEGATE TO THE
MIAMI-DADE LEAGUE OF CITIES, AND COMMISSIONER LAMA AS THE
ALTERNATE, TO ATTEND MEETINGS FROM MAY 2023 THROUGH MAY 2024;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach wishes to provide for voting representation at
the Miami -Dade League of Cities meetings throughout the coming year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY
ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Appointment of Delegate and Alternate. The following members of the City
Commission are hereby appointed for one year as delegate and alternate to represent the City
of Sunny Isles Beach at the Miami -Dade League of Cities meetings:
A. Delegate: Vice Mayor Joseph
B. Alternate: Commissioner Lama
Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of 2023.

RE: Designation of Delegates to the Miami -Dade League Cities
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this Resolution.
REASONS:
The designation of one city official and an alternate, in his/her absence, needs to be authorized to
vote on Miami -Dade League of Cities (MDCLC) matters. This resolution designates Commissions
imli as the delegate, and /',as the alternate, from May 2023
through May 2024.
Any elected official may attend a League meeting at any time. The purpose of these designations is
solely for voting authority.
