HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2023-3516RESOLUTION NO. 2023 -357(a A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT AWARD FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach ("City") was awarded a grant for Information Technology services; and WHEREAS, Chapters 119 and 286 of the Florida Statutes provides exemptions from public disclosure of certain goods and services; and WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to ratify the acceptance of a grant award for Information Technology services. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Ratification of Acceptance. The City Commission hereby ratifies the acceptance of a grant for Information Technology services. Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution will become effectJve�upon adoption. REASONS: This grant will provide additional resources to assist the City staff with secure and reliable Information Technology services. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Florida Statutes provides exemptions from public disclosure of certain goods and services, which includes grant applications, awards, and the specific capabilities awarded. Therefore, the grant and any corresponding documentation are exempt from public records and public meetings requirements under section 119.07(1), F.S. and section 286.011, F.S. The exemption is contained in 119.0725, F.S. and applies to any agency as defined in 119.011(2), F.S. FUNDING SOURCE: The City will not receive revenue directly, but shall receive goods and/or services provided under the grant award agreement. ATTACHMENTS: Resolution Item Number: 10.K 393
