A RESOLUTION OF THE CITYOF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH PROPOSED AD VALOREM TAX MILLAGE LEVY RATE AT
2.0000 MILLS PER ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00) OF TAXABLE ASSESSED
VALUE WHICH IS 12.43% MORE THAN THE "ROLLED BACK" RATE OF 1.7789 MILLS,
FOR FISCALYEAR2023/2024; SETTINGTHE DATE,TIME AND PLACE FORTHE FIRST
AND SECOND PUBLIC BUDGET HEARINGS AS REQUIRED BY LAW; DIRECTING THE
CITY CLERK AND CITY MANAGER TO FILE THIS RESOLUTION WITH THE PROPERTY
APPRAISER OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY PURSUANT TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF
FLORIDA STATUTES AND THE RULES AN D REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF
REVENUE OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Miami -Dade County, Florida, served upon the City of
Sunny Isles Beach a "Certification of 2023 Taxable Value"; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 200.065, F.S., the City of Sunny Isles Beach will furnish the
County Property Appraiserthe proposed ad valorem tax millage rate, andthe date, time, andplace
at which public hearingswill be held to consider the proposed millage rate and tentative budgetfor
Fiscal Year 2023/2024; and
WHEREAS, the Commission agrees to establish the proposed ad valorem tax millage levy
rate at 2.0000 mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of taxable assessed value.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY
ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Establish the Proposed Millage Rate. The proposed ad valorem tax millage rate is
hereby established as 2.0000 mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of assessed property
value in the City of Sunny Isles Beach. The proposed millage reflected is 12.43% more than the
"rolled back" rate of 1.7789 mills, for Fiscal Year 2023/2024.
Section 2. Setting the Public Hearings. Thedate, time, and placeof the firstand second public
hearings are hereby set by the City Commission as follows:

Section 3. Transmittal. The City Clerk and City Manager are directed to attach the original
Certification ofTaxable Valuable to a certified copy of this Resolution and serve the same upon the
Property Appraiser of Miami -Dade County on or before August 4, 2023.
Section 4. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
