A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH,
FLORIDA, DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO SOLICIT PROPOSALS FROM
RESTAURATEURS INTERESTED IN LEASING THE CITY -OWNED PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 18050 COLLINS AVENUE, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
COMPETITIVE BIDDING PROCEDURES OF CHAPTER 62 OF THE CITY'S CODE OF
ORDINANCES; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS
NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City") is the owner of the property located
at 18050 Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida (the "Property"); and
WHEREAS, on September 9, 2022, City issued and advertised Request for Proposal No.
22-05-01 ("RFP") for restaurant lease and operation services at Property, and received two (2)
submittals; and
WHEREAS, on December 15th, 2022, via Resolution No. 2022-3446, the City
Commissioner rejected all proposals submitted for in response to the RFP; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to continue exploring potential leasing opportunities for the
Property to restaurateurs who can provide quality dining experiences to residents and visitors;
and
WHEREAS, Chapter 62 of the City's Code of Ordinances provides competitive bidding
procedures (the "Purchasing Code"); and
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that it is in the best interest of the City and its
residents to explore restaurant leasing options for the Property, in accordance with the
competitive bidding procedures of the Purchasing Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY
ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Directive to the City Manager. The City Commission hereby directs the City
Manager to solicit proposals from restaurateurs interested in leasing the property located at
18050 Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160, in accordance with competitive bidding
procedures of the Purchasing Code.
Section 2. Authorization of the City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do
all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption.

RE: Resolution Directing the City Manager to Re -Engage the CityA€T"s Consultan-
to Re -Design the Intracoastal Sports Park as a Passive Park as an Expansion
of the Intracoastal Park System
RECOMMENDATION:
This Resolution is presented for your consideration.
REASONS:
On September 9, 2022, the City issued and advertised Request for Proposal No. 22-05-01 foi
restaurant lease and operation services at property located at 18050 Collins Avenue (Property) and
received two (2) submissions. On December 15th, 2022, via Resolution No. 2022-3446, the Citi
Commissioner rejected all proposals submitted in response to the RFP. I believe that exploring
potential leasing opportunities for the Property to restaurateurs can provide quality dining
experiences to residents and visitors.
This Resolution directs the city manager to solicit proposals from restaurateurs via a competitive
bidding procedure.
