HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2023-3596RESOLUTION NO. 2023 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, 41,6_XZ FLORIDA, APPROVING THE NOMINATION OF 6_X �A— AS VICE -MAYOR; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Section C -2.2(b) of the City Charter of the City of Sunny Isles Beach ("City") provides that at the first Commission meeting in the month of November in a year in which there is no regular City election, the Mayor shall nominate a Vice-Mayorfrom one of the four Residential Area Commissioners, subject to Commission approval; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the requirements set forth in the City Charter, the Mayor has nominated.x'/'/� as Vice -Mayor; and WHEREAS, the City Commission now wishes to approve the Mayor's nomination. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY. ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approval of Vice -Mayor Nomination. The City Commission hereby approves the nomination of Ld2d as Vice -Mayor commencing immediately, pursuant to §2.2(b) of the City of Sunny Isles Beach Municipal Charter. Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective one (1) day after adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of Nov ber 3.
