Recommendations
Fireworks for the 41" of July
- firework event at the beach
A benefit would be that if the city held this event, it would encourage more teen
involvement
Bring life to the community
Bring residents together
Free membership at pelican for residents
- By reducing the fee to free, it would make it easier for teens to meet up at the park
- This incentive would encourage teens to be active as opposed to being on their phones
Sports events consisting of Volleyball, Basketball, and Soccer Tournaments
- Would have a sign up for the tournament, and winner would earn a prize
- This event would allow teens to meet each other and bond over something they have in
common
- The event encourages an active and healthy afternoon away from their phones
- The event would be fun
Creating a Youth Advisory Instagram and Facebook
- By being on a social media platform, it would be easier to get the word out to teens
- It would also be a lot easier to market events
- For people to hear about our social medias we can place qr codes so people follow us
Beach Cleanup with a twist (competition)
- By holding this event we would be cleaning our beach which is our backyard
- We would make this event fun and hold it as a competition. Whichever team collects
the most trash would win a prize
- We would hand out community service hours to high school students for college
More teen nights like pizza night, game night, and escape room
- For the kids who don't like sports or into a more chill event, this give teens something
to do other than their phone
- Allows teens to have a safe place to socialize and meet new people
- Fun and safe event to hangout
Add more volleyball courts to the beach accesses
- More people would be able to play volleyball
- Take advantage of being outside and off phones
- Great way to make friends
