HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2024-3652RESOLUTION NO. 2024 - `s A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE CONCEPTUAL DESIGNS OF BEACH ACCESS AND MONUMENT SIGNAGE AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE CITY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City") wishes to replace the beach access and monument signs at various locations throughout the City (the "Signs"); and WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to approve the conceptual designs of the Signs, attached hereto as Exhibit "A". NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approval of Conceptual Designs. The City Commission hereby approves the conceptual designs for beach access and monument signs at various locations throughout the City. Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption. REASONS: Current monument and beach access signs are outdated and dilapidated. New conceptual designs are consistent with the commission -approved rebranding and are budgeted for this fiscal year. We would like to approve these conceptual designs to move forward with procurement. The signage to be replaced includes 20 monuments and approximately 50 beach access signs.
