A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AS
THE CITY'S DELEGATE TO THE MIAMI -DADE LEAGUE OF CITIES
AND THE VICE MAYOR AS THE ALTERNATE TO ATTEND
MEETINGS DURING FISCAL YEAR 2014/2015; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach wishes to provide for voting representation at
the Miami -Dade League of Cities throughout the coming year.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Appointment of Delegate and Alternate. The following members of the City
Commission are hereby appointed for one year as delegate and alternate to represent the City of
Sunny Isles Beach at the Miami -Dade League of Cities meetings:
A. Delegate: Mayor
B. Alternate: Vice Mayor
Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of September 2014.

RE: Designation of Voting Member and Alternative Voting Member to
the Miami -Dade League of Cities
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution
designating the Mayor to be a voting delegate to the Miami -Dade League of
Cities and the Vice Mayor to be the alternate.
REASONS:
One City official and an alternate in his /her absence needs to be authorized to
vote on Miami -Dade League of Cities matters.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
During Fiscal Year 2013/2014 Mayor Edelcup served as the delegate and Vice
Mayor Aelion served as the alternate. The current one -year term expires on
September 30, 2014. Any elected official may attend a League meeting at any
time. The purpose of the above representative and alternate is solely for voting
authority.
