A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH,
FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXPEND THE NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT FROM SIXTY -
THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS
($60,750.00) TO SIXTY -FOUR THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED
FIFTY DOLLARS ($64,650.00) WITH BONNIE BENNETT
CREATIVE TO PROVIDE GRAPHIC DESIGN SERVICES
FOR THE CITY IN FISCAL YEAR 2013/2014; FURTHER
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL
THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS
RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach hired Bonnie Bennett Creative to brand the City
as "Florida's Riviera "; and
WHEREAS, Bonnie Bennett Creative has continued to carry the corporate identity and
branding developed as "Florida's Riviera" throughout all official City publications, promotional
items and marketing materials, including the layout and design of the quarterly newsletter, the
quarterly catalogs, the annual City calendar, all advertisements, promotional items, brochures and
other marketing materials; and
WHEREAS, on February 20, 2014 via Resolution No. 2014 -2187, the City Commission
approved an increase to the spending authority up to Sixty Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars
($60,750.00) with Bonnie Bennett Creative to provide graphic design services for the City; and
WHEREAS, the City now wishes to increase this amount by Three Thousand Nine Hundred
Dollars ($3,900.00) to provide a custom design of a street banner to upgrade the look along our
major highways, and wishes to authorize the City Manager to approve the expenditure of budgeted
funds in the amount up to Sixty -Four Thousand Six Hundred Fifty Dollars ($64,650.00) with Bonnie
Bennett Creative to provide graphic design services for the City in Fiscal Year 2013/2014.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to approve
the expenditure of budgeted funds in the amount up to Sixty -Four Thousand Six Hundred Fifty
Dollars ($64,650.00) with Bonnie Bennett Creative to provide Graphic Design Services for the City
in Fiscal year 2013/2014.
Section 2. Further Authorization of CitManager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do
all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.

Section 3. Effective Date. The Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.

Increase Spending Authority with Bonnie Bennett Creative by
$3,900.00
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission approve the attached resolution to
increase the spending authority with Bonnie Bennett Creative by $3,900.00 for a
total expense for Fiscal Year 2013 -2014 of $64,650.
REASONS:
Resolution Number 2014 -2187 provided for the approval of spending up to
$60,750.00 with Bonnie Bennett Creative for graphic design services for the City.
We have added a custom design of a street banner to upgrade the look along
our major highways. This additional item is quoted at $3,900.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funding for this item is available in the General Fund account number
10.572.5317, Professional Services.
