A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING A DONATION IN
THE AMOUNT OF THREE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS
(S3,200.00) FROM THE SUNNY ISLES BEACH FOUNDATION, INC.;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS
NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS. the City of Sunny Isles Beach is approaching an historical occasion, the end
of Mayor Norman S. Edelcup's tenure in office; and
WHEREAS, in order to commemorate this milestone, the Sunny Isles Beach Foundation.
Inc. is planning a formal Mayor's Charity Ball: and
WHEREAS, the City provided an in -kind donation to the Sunny Isles Beach Foundation,
Inc. in an estimated amount of Three Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($3,200.00), related to
staff time and use of City equipment to assist in this event; and
WHEREAS, the Sunny Isles Beach Foundation; Inc. now wishes to make a donation to
the City of Sunny Isles Beach in the amount of Three Thousand Two Hundred Dollars
($3,200.00), to cover the expenses of those in -kind contributions from the City.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Acceptance of Donation. The City Commission hereby accepts the donation from
the Sunnv Isles Beach Foundation_. Inc. in the amount of Three Thousand Two Hundred Dollars
(53,200.00).
Section 2. Authorization of Citv Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of September 2014.
