A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH,
FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH TENTATIVE AD VALOREM
TAX MILLAGE LEVY RATE OF 1.8000 MILLS PER ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS
($1,000.00) OF TAXABLE ASSESSED VALUE WHICH IS 3.49% MORE THAN THE
"ROLLED BACK" RATE OF 1.7393 MILLS, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024/2025; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Miami -Dade County, Florida ("County Property
Appraiser"), served upon the City of Sunny Isles Beach a "Certification of 2024 Taxable Value"; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 200.065, F.S., the City of Sunny Isles Beach furnished the
County Property Appraiser the proposed millage rate, and the date, time and place at which public
hearings will be held to consider the tentative millage rate and tentative budget; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission agrees to establish the tentative ad valorem tax millage
levy rate at 1.8000 mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of taxable assessed value.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY
ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Adopt the Tentative Millage Rate. The tentative millage rate is hereby adopted as
1.8000 mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of assessed property value in the City of Sunny
Isles Beach. The proposed millage is 3.49% more than the "rolled back" rate of 1.7393 mills, for
Fiscal Year 2024/2025.
Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
