A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2024-3632, APPROVING THE
APPOINTMENTS TO THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD; ACCEPTING THE
RESIGNATION OF URIEL RUBINOVICH, AND APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT OF
ROBERT TACHER TO FILL THE VACANCY; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on February 15, 2024, via Resolution No. 2024-3632, the City Commission of
the City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City") approved the selection of members to the Historic
Preservation Board ("HPB"); and
WHEREAS, August 21, 2024, Uriel Rubinovich submitted his resignation as a member of
the HPB; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission accepts the resignation of Uriel Rubinovich from the
HPB, and wishes to approve the appointment of Robert Tacher to fill the vacancy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Accept Resignation and Approve Appointment to the Historic Preservation
Board. The City Commission hereby accepts the resignation of Uriel Rubinovich from the HPB,
and wishes to approve the appointment of Robert Tacher to fill the vacancy.
Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.

RE: Appointmentto Fill a Vacancy on the Historic Preservation Board
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this Resolution.
REASONS:
On August 21, 2024, Uriel Rubinovich, member of the Historic Preservation Board, tendered his
resignation effective immediately. Pursuant to Resolution No. 2024-3632, Vice Mayor Lama, whom
appointed Mr. Rubinoich, has selected Robert Thatcher to fill the vacancy. The appointment shall be for
the balance of the unexpired term, which is set to expire on December 31, 2025.
