LAUDERDALE FOR THE LEASE OF THREE (3) POLICE MOTORCYCLES, IN A TOTAL LEASE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FORTY -THREE THOUSAND SEVENTY -SEVEN DOLLARS AND NINETY -SIX CENTS (S43,077.96) FOR A THREE (3) YEAR PERIOD, ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A'; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE SAID LEASE PROPOSAL; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to enter into an agreement with Chester's Harley- Davidson of Ft. Lauderdale to meet the motorcycle needs of the Police Department in the performance of police- related or law enforcement duties; and WHEREAS, the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department solicited bids from three (3) vendors for the lease of three (3) 2015 Harley Davidson Police Motorcycles, and Chester's Harley Davidson of Ft. Lauderdale was the most responsive, responsible bidder; and WHEREAS, Chester's Harley- Davidson has provided a plan for lease of three (3) Harley Davidson Police Road King Motorcycles, in an amount of $1,174.86 per month for thirty -five (35) months and a first one -time payment of $1,957.86, for a total lease amount not to exceed Forty -Three Thousand Seventy -Seven Dollars and Ninety -Six Cents ($43,077.96) for a period of three (3) years, attached hereto as Exhibit "A ". NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approval of Lease Proposal. The City Commission hereby approves the Motorcycle Lease Proposal with Chester's Harley- Davidson in a total lease amount not to exceed Forty -Three Thousand Seventy -Seven Dollars and Ninety -Six Cents ($43,077.96) for a period of three (3) years, attached hereto as Exhibit "A`. Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager or Designee is hereby authorized to execute said Lease Proposal. Section J. Authorization of Citv Manager.
