A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH,
FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO REPURPOSE PROPERTY LOCATED
AT 18050 COLLINS AVENUE TO PROVIDE OFFICE SPACE FOR USE BYTHE BUILDING
DEPARTMENT, RESERVING A PORTION OF THE PROPERTY TO BE USED AS A CAFE
FOR THE SALE AND PURCHASE OF FOOD AND BEVERAGES; FURTHER
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO
EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach's (the "City") Building Department ("Building") has
experienced significant growth in services and as a result has needed to increase its staff; and
WHEREAS, due to the increase in services and staff, Building is need for additional office
space to efficient levels of service to residents and business owners; and
WHEREAS, the City is the owner of the property located at 18050 Collins Avenue, Sunny
Isles Beach, FL (the "Property"); and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to provide and allow for a portion of the Property
to be used as a cafe for the sale and purchase of food and beverages ("Cafe"); and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to authorize the City Manager to repurpose the
Property to provide office space for use by Building, reserving a portion of the propertyto be used
as a cafe.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY
ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Authorization of the City Manager. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City
Manager to repurpose the property located at 18050 Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach, FL to
provide office space for use by the Building Department, reserving a portion of the property to be
used as a cafe for the sale and purchase of food and beverages, to further do all things necessary
to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 2. Effective Date. The Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
