RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - ` <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING RENOVATIONS TO THE RESTAURANT LOCATED ON THE <br />NEWPORT PIER, ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City") owns the Newport Fishing Pier (the <br />"Pier"), located at 16701 Collins Avenue; and <br />WHEREAS, in August 2023, the City Commission approved a sublease agreement with <br />American Federated Title Corp. and PRA Hospitality LLC (collectively the "Lessors") to operate a <br />restaurant on the Pier ("Restaurant"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Lessor's have notified the City of their need to renovate the Restaurant <br />to improve functionality and aesthetics (the "Renovations"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Lessor's have agreed to fully fund the Renovations, with no added costs <br />to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to approve the Renovations to the Restaurant, as <br />depicted in Exhibit "A". <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approval of Renovations. The City Commission hereby approves the Renovations <br />to the Restaurant, as depicted in Exhibit "A". <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br />Section 3. Effective Date.
