RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A PROCLAMATION RECOGNIZING THE MONTH OF JULY 2025 AS PARKS AND RECREATION MONTH IN THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation Month is celebrated nationally each July to recognize the vital role that parks, public spaces, and recreational programs play in enhancing the quality of life for communities across the country; and WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City") is proud to offer a diverse range of parks and recreational services that offers programming and athletic, cultural, and educational activities ; and WHEREAS, the City's Cultural and Community Services Department provides innovative programming, maintains beautiful green spaces, and ensures access to inclusive recreational opportunities that enrich the lives of the community; and WHEREAS, recognizing July as Parks and Recreation Month highlights the importance of continued investment in recreational infrastructure and programs, and reaffirms the City's commitment to building a vibrant, healthy, and active community; and WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to issue an official proclamation formally recognizing July 2025 as Parks and Recreation Month in the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approval Issuance of Proclamation. The City Commission hereby approves the issuance of a proclamation recognizing July 2025 as Parks and Rec Month in the City. Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
