RESOLUTION NO. 2025 -50690 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A PROCLAMATION RECOGNIZING THE <br />AUGUST 21, 2025, AS TZIPPI HOLAND DAY IN THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH; <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City") recognizes <br />individuals whose lives reflect courage, compassion, resilience, and exceptional service to <br />humanity; and <br />WHEREAS, Mrs. Tzippi Holand, a long-standing resident of Sunny Isles Beach, is a <br />Holocaust survivor whose personal journey from adversity to advocacy has inspired thousands <br />through her memoir My Treasure Box, educational lectures, and philanthropic work; and <br />WHEREAS, her impactful contributions include support for children with special needs, <br />cancer patients, hospitals, young soldiers, families in need, and community organizations across <br />the nation; and <br />WHEREAS, her efforts reflect the values of justice, humility, dignity, and hope that uplift <br />and strengthen the fabric of our society; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to formally acknowledge and celebrate Mrs. <br />Holand's contributions by issuing an official proclamation in her honor. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approval Issuance of Proclamation. The City Commission hereby approves the <br />issuance of a proclamation recognizing August 21, 2025, as Tzippi Holand Day in the City. <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br />Section 3. Effective Date.
