A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA,
HONORING ISRAELI CONSUL GENERAL MAOR ELBAZ-STARINSKY WITH A KEY TO
THE CITY IN RECOGNITION OF HIS DIPLOMATIC SERVICE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
CLERK TO ISSUE A KEY TO THE CITY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL
THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THIS RESOLUTION;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Maor Elbaz-Starinsky was the Consul General of Israel to Miami and the
Southeastern United States, representing the State of Israel with distinction and dedication; and
WHEREAS, throughout his tenure, Consul General Elbaz-Starinsky worked tirelessly to
strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Israel and communities across
Florida, including the City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City"); and
WHEREAS, Consul General Elbaz-Starinsky actively promoted cultural exchange, economic
collaboration, and educational partnerships that enriched the lives of residents and fostered
mutual understanding; and
WHEREAS, his leadership was marked by a commitment to dialogue, inclusivity, and the
advancement of shared democratic values; and
WHEREAS, Consul General Elbaz-Starinsky was engaged with diverse communities,
supported interfaith initiatives, and advocated for peace and prosperity through diplomacy; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission recognizes the importance of international relationships
and the role of diplomatic leaders in building bridges across cultures and nations; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to present Consul General Elbaz-Starinsky with a
"Key to the City" in recognition of his diplomatic service.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY
ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Issuance of Key. The City Commission hereby approves the issuance of
a "Key to the City" to Consul General Elbaz-Starinsky.
Section 2. Authorization of City Clerk. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to issue a Key to the
City to be bestowed upon Consul General Elbaz-Starinsky.
Section 3. Authorization of the City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate the terms of this resolution.
Section 4. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.

RE: Resolution Approving the issuance of a Key to the City to Israeli Consul
General Maor Elbaz-Starinsky
RECOMMENDATION:
This resolution is presented for consideration.
REASONS:
This resolution proposes the presentation of the Key to the City to Israeli Consul General Maor Elbaz-
Starinsky in recognition of his distinguished diplomatic service and his efforts to strengthen cultural,
economic, and civic ties between Israel and the Southeast region of the United States. Consul General
Elbaz-Starinsky has demonstrated exceptional leadership in promoting international friendship,
fostering community engagement, and advancing shared democratic values. This honor reflects our
City's appreciation for his contributions and our commitment to celebrating global partnerships that
enrich our community.
