A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH,
FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH FINAL AD VALOREM TAX
MILLAGE LEVY RATE OF 1.7000 MILLS PER ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00)
OF TAXABLE ASSESSED VALUE WHICH IS 1.55% MORE THAN THE "ROLLED BACK"
RATE OF 1.6741 MILLS, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025/2026; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Miami -Dade County, Florida ("County Property
Appraiser"), served upon the City of Sunny Isles Beach a "Certification of 2025 Taxable Value"; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 200.065, F.S., the City of Sunny Isles Beach furnished the
County Property Appraiser the proposed millage rate, and the date, time and place at which public
hearings will be held to consider the tentative millage rate and tentative budget; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission agrees to establish the final ad valorem tax millage levy
rate at 1.7000 mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of taxable assessed value.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY
ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Adopt the Final Millage Rate. The final millage rate is hereby adopted as 1.7000
mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of assessed property value in the City of Sunny Isles
Beach. The millage is 1.55% more than the "rolled back" rate of 1.6741 mills, for Fiscal Year
2025/2026.
Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
