A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH,
FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXPEND UP TO SEVENTY -SEVEN THOUSAND ONE
HUNDRED DOLLARS (S77,100.00) NVITH BONNIE BENNTTT
CREATIVE TO PROVIDE GRAPHIC DESIGN SERVICES TO
THE CITY FOR FISCAL YEAR 2014/2015; AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY
TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach hired Bonnie Bennett Creative to brand the City
as "Florida's Riviera'; and
WHEREAS, Bonnie Bennett Creative has continued to carry the corporate identity and
branding developed as "Florida's Riviera' throughout all official City publications, promotional
items and marketing materials, including the layout and design of the quarterly newsletter, the
quarterly catalogs, the annual City calendar, all advertisements, promotional items, brochures and
other marketing materials; and
WHEREAS, Bonnie Bennett Creative's designs are consistent with the approved standards
and the desires of the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to authorize the City Manager to approve the
expenditure of budgeted funds in the amount up to Seventy -Seven Thousand One Hundred Dollars
($77,100.00) with Bonnie Bennett Creative to provide graphic design services to the City for Fiscal
Year 2014/2015.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to approve
the expenditure of budgeted funds in the amount up to Seventy -Seven Thousand One Hundred
Dollars ($77,100.00) with Bonnie Bennett Creative to provide Graphic Design Services to the City
for Fiscal Year 2014/2015.
Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.

Section 3. Effective Date. The Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.

Authority to Expend Funds to Bonnie Bennett Creative
RE: for Graphic Design Services in an Amount Not to
Exceed $77,100.00.
RECOMMENDATION:
The attached resolution is presented for your consideration.
REASONS:
Bonnie Bennett Creative provides graphic design services to the City
for the City's publications including; Living, Islander, brochures, flyers,
ads, vehicle graphics, etc. These items are designed within the City's
branding guidelines to ensure a sophisticated, polished, professional,
and consistent branded look that is now known as Florida's Riviera.
Projects planned for this fiscal year are estimated not to exceed
$77,100.00.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Graphic Design is exempt from the formal bidding process. Bonnie
Bennett Creative's pricing has not increased in two years.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funds are budgeted in the General Fund for this expense under
