RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH ETA PHI SYSTEMS, INC., d/b/a ETA <br />TRANSIT SYSTEMS FOR TRANSIT ASSET MANAGEMENT AND INTELLIGENT <br />TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS SOFTWARE, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FOUR <br />HUNDRED SEVENTY-EIGHT THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SEVEN DOLLARS AND NO <br />CENTS ($478,107.00); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE <br />AGREEMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City") is committed to enhancing the <br />efficiency, reliability, and responsiveness of its public transportation services; and <br />WHEREAS, Brevard County, FL, issued a Request for Proposal for In$elligent Transportation <br />System ("ITS") Software, and entered into an Agreement with ETA PHI stems, Inc., d/b/a ETA <br />Transit Systems (the "Vendor") was awarded the contract to provide 21 services; and <br />WHEREAS, the Vendor is a leading provider of fixed -route Computer -Aided Dispatch <br />("CAD") and Automatic Vehicle Location ("AVL") software, offering cloud -based ITS solutions that <br />enable real-time vehicle tracking, data analysis, and operational optimization (collectively the <br />"SPOT System"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Vendor's SPOT System integrates with existing onboard hardware on the <br />City's shuttle buses and will provide fixed base route system, GTFS-RT (Real-time GPS/Arrivals- <br />Departures), automatic voice announcements (AVA), infotainment LCD screens, digital vehicle <br />inspection records (DVIR), and onboard cellular routers; and <br />WHEREAS, the Vendor is a licensed and insured company who have expressed their ability <br />and desire to provide the SPOT System; and <br />WHEREAS, the SPOT System will be procured utilizing the same pricing and terms and <br />conditions under Brevard County's Contract No. RFP -519-15; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 62-13 (C) of the City's Code of Ordinances, "Purchases made <br />under state general service administration contracts, federal, county or other governmental <br />contracts or competitive bids with other governmental agencies" are exempt for the competitive <br />bidding procedures; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to approve a five (5) year Agreement with the <br />Vendor for the SPOT System and recurring subscriptions, in an amount not to exceed Four <br />Hundred Seventy -Eight Thousand One Hundred Seven Dollars and No Cents ($478,107.00), <br />attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />@BCL@1429BE21 Page 1 of 2 <br />410 <br />
