RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - 3 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A PROCLAMATION RECOGNIZING <br />OCTOBER 2025 AS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH; PROVIDING FOR AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, Breast Cancer Awareness Month is observed nationally each October to raise <br />awareness about the impact of breast cancer, promote early detection and prevention, and <br />honor the strength and resilience of those affected by the disease; and <br />WHEREAS, by way of this proclamation, the City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City") <br />reaffirms its support of breast cancer education, research, and advocacy, and reminds the <br />public of the importance of regular screenings and the role our community plays in supporting <br />survivors and their families; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to formally recognize October 2025 as Breast <br />Cancer Awareness Month in the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approval Issuance of Proclamation. The City Commission hereby approves the <br />issuance of a proclamation recognizing the month of October 2025, as Breast Cancer Awareness <br />Month in the City. <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br />Section 3. Effective Date.
