RESOLUTION NO. 2025 -� <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A PROCLAMATION RECOGNIZING <br />SEPTEMBER 15 THROUGH OCTOBER 15, 2025, AS NATIONAL HISPANIC <br />HERITAGE MONTH; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, National Hispanic Heritage Month is observed annually from September 15 <br />through October 15 to honor the histories, cultures, and contributions of Americans whose <br />ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America; and <br />WHEREAS, proudly recognizes the achievements, resilience, and vibrant traditions of its <br />Hispanic residents and reaffirms its commitment to fostering inclusion, understanding, and <br />opportunity for all; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to formally recognize September 15 through <br />October 15, 2025, as National Hispanic Heritage Month in the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approval Issuance of Proclamation. The City Commission hereby approves the <br />issuance of a proclamation recognizing September 15 through October 15, 2025, as National <br />Hispanic Heritage Month in the City. <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br />Section 3. Effective Date.
