A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH,
FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF BUDGETED FUNDS FOR THE
PURCHASE OF TWO (2) 2026 FORD F-150 TRUCKS FROM DUVAL FORD, IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED TWO THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED
SEVENTY-FOUR DOLLARS AND NO CENTS ($102,474.00), ATTACHED HERETO AS
EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY
TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on September 11th, 2025, via Ordinance No. 2024-635, the City Commission
of the City of Sunny Isles Beach ("City") adopted the Operating and Capital Improvement Budget
for the Fiscal Year Commencing October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026 ("Adopted
Budget"); and
WHEREAS, the Cultural & Community Services Department is seeking approval to
purchase two (2) 2026 Ford F-150 XL Regular Cab 4x4 trucks (collectively the "F-150s") from
Duval Ford (the "Vendor"); and
WHEREAS, the purchase of the F150s has been budgeted as capital items in the Adopted
Budget and will be purchased utilizing Florida Sheriff's Association Light Vehicle Contract No.
FSA 25VEL-33; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 62-13 (C) of the City's Code of Ordinances, purchases
made under state general service administration contracts, federal, county or other
governmental contracts or competitive bids with other governmental agencies are exempt from
the City's competitive bidding requirements; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to authorize the expenditure of budgeted funds
for the purchase of the F-150s from the Vendor, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Two
Thousand Four Hundred Seventy -Four Dollars and No Cents ($102,474.00), attached hereto as
Exhibit "A".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY
ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Expenditure. The City Commission hereby approves the expenditure
of budgeted funds for the purchase of the F-150s from the Vendor, in an amount not to exceed
One Hundred Two Thousand Four Hundred Seventy -Four Dollars and No Cents ($102,474.00),
attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption.

Approval of Expenditure of Budgeted Funds for the Purchase of Two 2026
Ford F-150 Trucks from Duval Ford
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this resolution.
REASONS:
The Cultural & Community Services Department is seeking approval to purchase two (2) 2026 Ford F-
150 XL Regular Cab 44 trucks from Duval Ford via Florida Sheriff's Association Light Vehicle Contract
FSA 25VEL-33. Each truck is priced at $51,237.00 for a total not to exceed amount of $102,474.00.
These vehicles have been budgeted as capital items in the FY25/26 budget.
One of these trucks will be the direct replacement of Unit 1623. It was removed from service by Fleet
this past fiscal year (FY24/25).
With the addition of these two (2) trucks to our current fleet of twelve (12) trucks, the Parks Division will
be able to consistently rotate vehicles out for maintenance while having enough vehicles available for
staff on duty without impacting day to day operations.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Upon Commission approval and the issuance of a Purchase Order to Duval Ford, the trucks should be
delivered to the dealership in either March or April 2026.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funds have been appropriated in Account # 001-6-5720-464200-00000.
