A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH,
FLORIDA, APPOINTING ALEX LAMA AS THE CITY'S DELEGATE TO THE NATIONAL
LEAGUE OF CITIES, AND JENIFFER VISCARRA AS THE ALTERNATE, TO ATTEND
MEETINGS FROM NOVEMBER 2025 THROUGH OCTOBER 2026; PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach wishes to provide for voting representation at
the National League of Cities meetings throughout the coming year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY
ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Appointment of Delegate and Alternate. The following members of the City
Commission are hereby appointed for one year as delegate and alternate to represent the City
of Sunny Isles Beach at the National League of Cities meetings:
A. Delegate: Alex Lama
B. Alternate: Jeniffer Viscarra
Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of N vember, 2025.

RE: Appointing Delegates to the National League of Cities for 2025-2026
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this resolution.
REASONS:
The designation of one city official and an alternate, in his/her absence, needs to be authorized to vote
on National League of Cities (NLC) matters. This resolution designates Alex Lama as the delegate, and
Jeniffer Viscarra as the alternate, from November 2025 through November 2026.
Any elected official may attend NLC meetings. The purpose of these designations is solely for voting
authority.
