RESOLUTION NO. 2014- 236g
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, DECLARING
JEANETTE GATTO AS VICE MAYOR; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS,the Mayor has the authority to nominate the Vice Mayor, with confirmation by
the City Commission: and
WHEREAS, §2.2(b) of the City Charter of the City of Sunny Isles Beach. Florida.provides
that a Vice Mayor will be appointed at the first Commission meeting after the 30'h day following the
day of the General City Election.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Declaration of Vice Mayor. That Jeanette Gatto shall be Vice Mayor commencing
immediately, pursuant to §2.2(b) of the City of Sunny Isles Beach Municipal Charter.
Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 18'h day of Decemb- 2014.

RE: Appointment of Vice Mayor
RECOMMENDATION:
That the attached Resolution appointing a Vice Mayor be adopted.
REASONS:
The City's Charter provides that a Vice Mayor will be appointed at the
first Commission meeting after the 30th day following the day of the
General Election. Mayor Scholl has the authority to nominate the Vice
Mayor, with confirmation by the City Commission.
