ORDINANCE NO. 2026 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2025-635; APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENT NO. BA2526-02 TO THE CITY'S OPERATING AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET FOR THE 2025-2026 FISCAL YEAR; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE'. WHEREAS, in accordance with Sections 200.065 and 166.241, Florida Statutes, and the City Charter, the City Commission adopted the budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 ("Budget") by Ordinance No. 2025-635; and WHEREAS, the City's Finance Director has determined a need to amend the Budget to: (1) Allocate $1,457.000 to Transfers out to support the funding needs in the Capital Projects Fund, (2) Allocate $624,000 for the purchase of eight (8) marked police vehicles,. 044.4 two (2) unmarked police vehicles, and S200.000 for a network refresh to support the security cameras citywide, (3) Allocate $514,250 for the replacement of five (5) lifeguard towers, (4) Allocate $20,000 for the purchase of a jet ski for Ocean Rescue, (5) Transfer $14,000 from R&M Equipment to Property - Furniture & Equipment to support the purchase of a new drone for the Media division. (6) Allocate S240.000 for the PW metal building change order and proposal increase. W7 Reallocate $315,000 to the Golden Shores Pump Station project to fund project costs, �64 8) Allocate $642,000 to the Atlantic Isles Bridge Rehabilitation project to fund an increase in project costs with FDOT. (9) Transfer S85.000 from Sunny Isles Blvd Improvements to the Bella Vista new parking lot (new project). (10) Allocate $500,000 to the Intracoastal Sports Park project to fund additional project costs; and WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that it is necessary to amend the Budget, as set forth in Exhibit "A", based upon the review and analysis provided by the Finance Director. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Incorporation of Recitals. The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part by this Ordinance upon adoption hereof. Section 2. Budget Amendment. The Budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 adopted by Ordinance No. 2025-635 is hereby amended as Amendment No. BA2526-02 to reflect the revisions in Exhibit "A". All other terms and conditions of Ordinance No. 2025-635 not otherwise amended by this Ordinance shall remain in full force and effect.
