CALL TO ORDER / ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Svechin at 6:15 p.m. with the following officials
present:

2A. Local Planning Agency discussion and/or action re: An Ordinance of the City Commission of
the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Amending Section 265-5, "Definitions," of the Land
Development Code to Revise the Definition of the Term "Waterfront"; Providing for
Repealer, Providing for Severability; Providing for Codification; and Providing for an Effective
Date.
Action: Planning and Zoning Director Amy Canales reported this affects two Districts, The
Town Center Zoning District and the RMF-2 District. Mayor Svechin recused herself from
chambers due to a conflict of interest with this item.
Public Speakers: Cole, Alan - WT600; Konvinski, Mark; Lavin, Chincook (Michael); Sinegir?
Commissioner Viscarra moved, and Commissioner Lama seconded a motion to adopt the
Ordinance on first reading. Second and final reading will be scheduled for a later date. The
motion was approved by a roll call vote of 4-0 in favor.
[Clerk's Note] Mayor Svechin stated on the record that she had a conflict.
