Action: Vice Mayor Joseph moved, and Commissioner Viscarra seconded. The motion to approve the minutes was approved by a voice vote of 5-0. ORDER OF BUSINESS (Additions/Deletions/Amendments) REMOVED: 5A. Proclamation Presented to Former Miami -Dade County Commissioner Sally A. Heyman; 5B: Police Department Accreditation Presentation; ADD ON: 7C. An Ordinance Repealing Article VI of the Code of Ordinances of the City Of Sunny Isles Beach, Entitled "Restrictions On Skateboards, Nonmotorized and Motorized Devices," and Creating A New article VI, Entitled "Motorized Scooters, Coasters, Skateboards, and other Wheeled Devices"; REVISED: 10A. A Resolution Supporting the State of Israel and Condemning the Unprovoked and Unjustified War Launched by Hamas Terrorists Against the State of Israel; 10F. A Resolution Authorizing the Expenditure of Budgeted Funds for the Purchase of Ten (10) 2023 Ford Vehicles From Bartow Ford; DEFERRED: 10L. A Resolution Approving an Agreement with BCREMIN Holdings, LLC, d/b/a Foreverlawn, forthe Installation of Artificial Turf at Various City Parks. Action: Commissioner Stuyvesant moved, and Vice Mayor Joseph seconded. The motion for Revisions was approved by a voice vote of 5-0. Clerk's Note: Commissioner Stuyvesant requested waive the Commissioner Agenda Item Guidelines and add two (2) additional items. Mayor Svechin asked for a motion from the City Commission. An Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Amending Ordinance No. 2022-595; Approving Budget Amendment No. BA2223-03 to the City's Operating and Capital Improvement Budget for the 2022-2023 Fiscal Year - General Fund, Street Maintenance & Construction Fund, Special Revenue Fund, and Capital Projects Fund; Authorizing the City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Implement the Terms and Conditions of this Ordinance; Providing for an Effective Date. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Approving a Donation to the Intracoastal Police Athletic League, in an Amount Not to Exceed $25,000.00 From the Local Law Enforcement Trust Funds; Authorizing the City Manager and the Chief of Police to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. City Clerk requested a roll call since approval of this item requires a super majority. Resolution No. 2023-3568 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Authorizing the Chief of Police, in Accordance with Section 932.7055, F.S., to Expend $408,273.81 from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund (LETF) for the Purchase of a New Police Dispatch Software, Replacement of License Plate Readers, New Police Vehicle, and a Donation to the Intracoastal Police Athletic League; Providing for an Effective Date.
