Regular City Commission Meeting —Summary Minutes —July 18, 2024.
Action: Commissioner Stuyvesant moved, and Commissioner Joseph seconded the motion to
approve the minutes and was approved by a voice vote of 4-0.

Revised: 9C. An Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida,
Repealing Chapter 227 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Entitled
"Signs, Temporary Political," and Chapter 265, Article IX, §265-63, Entitled "Temporary
Political Signs;" Repealing and Replacing Chapter 265, Article IX, §265-57, Entitled "Temporary
Signs;" Amending Chapter 265, Article IX, §265-51, §265-52, §265-55, §265-56 to Conform to
Existing Law and to Establish Regulations Governing the Use and Display of Temporary Signs;
10E. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Approving
an Agreement With Fabricon Modular, LLC, to Supply, Install, and Construct a New 24'x36'
Modular and Pre-engineered Building at 18070 Collins Avenue; 101. A Resolution of the City
Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Supporting the State of Israel's Right to

Action: Commissioner Viscarra moved, and Commissioner Stuyvesant seconded the motion to

6A. Request of Beach Club Acquisition, LLC ("Applicant"), for Site Plan Modification and
Variances Related to the Turnberry Ocean Club Located at 18501 Collins Avenue (Hearing
#PZ2024-03).
Summary: There weren't any ex-parte communications with the applicant.
Action: City Clerk Mauricio Betancur read the title, and Planning and Zoning Director Amy
Canales reported. As a condition of the approval, Commission can accept donations from
applicants.

Commissioner Joseph moved to approve request as amended, and Commissioner Stuyvesant
seconded a motion to approve the application for variance. Resolution No. 2024-3690 and
Zoning Resolution 24-Z-207 was adopted by roll call vote 4-0 in favor.

Providing for Repealer; Providing for Inclusion in the Code; Providing for an Effective Date.
Action: City Clerk Mauricio Betancur read the title and reported, along with City Attorney
Alain Boileau.
Public Speakers: none
Commissioner Joseph moved, and Commissioner Viscarra seconded a motion to adopt the
Ordinance on first reading. Second and final reading will be scheduled for September 19,
2024. The motion was approved by a roll call vote of 4-0 in favor.

104 Entitled "Art in Public Places", Sections 250-14 and 250-15 of Chapter 250 Entitled
"Utilities", and Sections 265-11 and 265-62 of Chapter 265 Entitled "Zoning", to Remove All
References to Advertisement and Publication of Notices in Newspapers of General

Action: City Clerk Mauricio Betancur read the title into the record, and City Manager Stan
Morris reported that during the workshop Commission directed to change one section
regarding one sign for (120) days total which was done. For the record, City Manager added
that some language to two sections which was discussed at agenda review workshop. Under
Section 265.57A,10E, the language was stating that can be displayed for not more than (120)
days, once per year, and then we've added per sign to clarify that's also reflected the same
exact language in Section 265.57135, again can be displayed for not more than (120)
consecutive days, once per year per sign.

Expenditure of Budgeted Funds With CentralSquare Technologies, LLC., for Maintenance and
Subscription Services for Certain Information Technology Services, in an Amount Not to
Exceed $100,000.00; Authorizing the City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate
This Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date.

City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate This Resolution; Providing for an
Effective Date.

Maintenance and Repair Services to Group 1 Vehicles, in an Amount Not to Exceed
$157,500.00, Attached Hereto as Exhibit "A"; Authorizing the Mayor to Execute Said
Agreement; Authorizing the City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate This
Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date.

for the Replacement of the Elevators Located at the Pedestrian Overpass Bridge at Gateway
Park, in an Amount Not to Exceed $709,436.00, Provided Said Agreement is First Approved as
to Form and Legal Sufficiency by the City Attorney; Authorizing the City Manager to Execute
Said Agreement; Authorizing the City Manager and the City Attorney to Do All Things
Necessary to Effectuate This Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date.
