The meeting was called to order by Mayor Svechin at 6:15 p.m. with the following officials
present:

2A. Local Planning Agency Discussion and/or Action re: An Ordinance of the City Commission of
the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Amending the Text of the Future Land Use Element of
the Adopted Comprehensive Plan; Providing for Repealer; Providing for Severability;
Providing for Transmi2al to the State Land Planning Agency; and Providing for an Effective
Date.
Action: City Clerk Mauricio Betancur read the title and Planning and Zoning Director Amy
Canales reported. A Motion was made as is, adding the word "Potential'. Mayor Svechin
passed the Gavel and seconded the Motion.
Public Speakers: none.
Commissioner Viscarra moved, and Mayor Svechin seconded a motion to adopt the
Ordinance. The motion FAILED by a roll call vote of 2-2 in favor.

2B. Local Planning Agency Discussion and/or Action re: An Ordinance of the City Commission of
the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Amending the Infrastructure and Capital
Improvements Elements of the Adopted City of Sunny Isles Beach Comprehensive Plan to
Clarify Level of Service Standards; Providing for Transmittal to the State Land Planning
Summary Minutes: LPA Meeting June 17, 2025 City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida
Agency and Other Review Agencies Identified in F.S. 163.3184(1)(C); Providing for Repealer,
Providing for Severability; Providing for Codification; And Providing for an Effective Date.
Action: City Clerk Mauricio Betancur read the title and Planning and Zoning Director Amy
Canales reported.

Commissioner Viscarra moved, and Commissioner Joseph seconded a motion to adopt the
Ordinance. The motion was approved by a roll call vote of 4-0 in favor.

265-11- "Procedures of General Applicability," and Providing for a New Article VI - "Adequacy
of Facili.es; Concurrency," to Establish Concurrency Procedures and Requirements; Providing
for Repealer, Providing for Severability; Providing for Codification; And Providing for an
Effective Date.
Action: City Clerk Mauricio Betancur read the title and Planning and Zoning Director Amy
Canales reported.
