A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING
A WAIVER OF PLAT APPLICATION FOR THE
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 19200 COLLINS AVENUE
COMMONLY KNOWN AS HERITAGE PARK, AS MORE
FULLY DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT `A'; PROVIDING FOR
THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY
TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The City of Sunny Isles Beach has applied for a Waiver of Plat in order to
divide one parcel of land into two parcels as described in Exhibit"A" herein; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that the Waiver of Plat is necessary
for the operation of the Heritage Park property as described in Exhibit "A" herein to meet all the
requirements of Chapter 28 of the Code of Miami Dade County.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals. The foregoing recitals are true and correct and are incorporated herein
by reference as if they fully set forth herein.
Section 2. Approval Waiver of Plat. The City Commission hereby approves the Waiver
of Plat application for Heritage Park and that the approval of the Waiver of Plat is not a waiver
of any zoning regulations and that this approval is conditioned upon proper execution of all
documents required by the City Attorney's office, and any other reviewing agency.
Section 3. Authority of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 4. Effective Date This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.

Dear Ms. Hasbun:
This shall constitute our letter of intent on behalf of the City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "Applicant"), as
owner of certain lands known as Heritage Park, and being located on the above referred address, for a
Waiver of Plat approval for the purpose of subdivide the actual Parent Tract into two Parcels; one parcel
allocating the park premises and the other parcel for the parking garage building. The Waiver of Plat
approval is the subject of the City Commission meeting.
Based on the foregoing, we would respectfully request the Department of Community Development's
favorable consideration of the Application.

RE: Waiver of Plat for Heritage Park
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff is recommending City Commission approval to the Resolution.
REASONS:
The City of Sunny Isles Beach is the property owner of certain land
located at 19200 Collins Avenue a/k/a Heritage Park, Staff is
requesting for a Waiver of Plat approval for the purpose of subdividing
the actual Parent Tract into two Parcels; one parcel allocating the park
premises and the other parcel for the parking garage building. This
subdivision is required for property tax purposes to ensure that the tax
exemption is maintained for the public park area.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Account No. 001-4-5241-431000-00000 (Planning and Zoning
Contracted Services-Professional Service-Consulting)$17,500.00
