HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2015-2418 RESOLUTION NO. 2015-24IA3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE UNIFORM SIGN PLAN PREPARED BY ADVANCED MULTI SIGN CORP. FOR THE ONE NETANYA PROJECT LOCATED AT 323 SUNNY ISLES BOULEVARD, ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE CITY ATTORNEY TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City passed and adopted Ordinance No. 2006-244 on February 16, 2006 establishing a requirement for multi-tenant centers to submit a uniform sign plan for the approval of the City Commission ; and WHEREAS, the One Netanya project obtained site plan approval pursuant to Zoning Resolution No. 09-Z-119 adopted on November 24, 2009 and the signage section was subject to the Uniform Sign Plan Requirements as stipulated under Section 265-58(J) of the City Code; and WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Staff has reviewed the submitted sign plans and finds the plans are in compliance with Section 265-58 (J) of the City Code. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approval of Uniform Sign Plan. The Uniform Sign Plan prepared by Advanced Multi Sign Corp and stamped received on May 12, 2015 by the Planning and Zoning Staff for multi-tenant center located at 323 Sunny Isles Boulevard, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", is hereby approved. Section 2. Authorization of City Manager and City Attorney. The City Manager and City Attorney are hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 3. REASONS: City Ordinance 2006-244 adopted on February 16, 2006 stipulated uniform sign plan requirements for multi-tenant centers, specifically Code Section 265-58(J).The One Netanya project approved pursuant Resolution No. 09-Z-119 adopted on November 24, 2009 required compliance with Section 265-58 (J), the Applicant has submitted a proposed Uniform Sign Plan and City Staff have review it and is presenting it for your consideration.
